One of three people who stole cash from a Kettering bookmakers yesterday wielded a large black coloured, wooden handled knife.
The armed robbery took place at Coral in London Road at 20:20.
One of the men, who had a grey face covering, jumped over the counter and demanded money, before the three ran out the store, and turned left down Silverwood Road.

The woman behind the new circus skills classes in Corby says skills such as trapeze, hoop and silks would be "accessible to everybody".
Nikki Hammond is a performing arts graduate from Corby and founder of the Corby circus classes.
She told me: "Aerial skills are very popular in the UK but around Northamptonshire we lack the skills."

There are queues on the A5199 both ways due to the closure of the A14 between junction 1 and the Catthorpe Interchange both ways.
Highways England says there are also reports of a large fuel spell and shed load on the A14. They say the road is likely to remain closed into the "evening peak period".

Police are searching for a missing West Midlands man who is believed to have links to Northampton.
James Pinsent, 43, is said to be vulnerable as he suffers from mental health issues. He went missing from his Birmingham home on Monday.
Mr Pinsent is 6’2 and was wearing an olive jacket, beige jumper and jeans.

A petition to make the nine-mile stretch, external of the A43 between Kettering and Northampton safer has attracted almost 4,500 signatures – in the same week as another crash on the road.

Northampton Hospital yesterday experienced one of its busiest days on record, with more than 350 people attended it’s A&E department - the highest level in two years, with the average wait time to see an A&E doctor at four hours.
The NHS Nene Clinical Commissioning Group, which looks after healthcare for much of Northamptonshire, said A&E "should only be used for critical or life-threatening situations requiring medical attention".

A woman has suffered "life changing injuries" after a crash near junction 15 of the M1 southbound on Saturday.
The 20-year-old was a passenger in a blue Vauxhall Corsa which suffered a puncture, causing the driver to lose control and come to a stop on an embankment at 10:00.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, and two other passengers, two women, aged 20 and 21, suffered minor injuries.
Unpopular plans to turn a Northampton pub into a convenience store are on the verge of being approved tonight - despite 552 objection letters against it, external, a petition and two protection bids.

The number of young people in the county who report being sexually assaulted has risen to 660 in the last year - up from 432 the year before.
But Laura Knight, the director of the Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice, told a child sexual exploitation conference in Corby today that the increase is down to youngsters being more confident in coming forward.
She said: "We are building up our understanding and the more we can do to get children and young people to come forward the better."

Ahead of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death next month, the BBC is looking at 'Shakespeare on Tour' as it investigate the Bard's links to the various part of the country including Northamptonshire.
Shakespeare's King John is partly set in Northampton, at a point in its history when it was just emerging as a great thoroughfare. The town was home to a castle where King John set himself up.
Last year, the Royal & Derngate partnered with Shakespeare’s Globe to mark the Magna Carta's 800th anniversary with a production of King John that played at The Holy Sepulchre in Northampton, which was visited often by King John and his court.

The government needs to have the kind of education "that doesn't just talk about reproduction, but also talks about how to manage a relationship," according to Northamptonshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, Adam Simmonds.
Mr Simmonds, who is today hosting a conference in Corby on child exploitation, said "children as young as 10 feel they are in a relationship" and sex education should reflect that.
It follows a survey of 2,700 young people aged between 10-18 in Northamptonshire about their intimate relationships.

It is "appalling" an East Midlands MEP has blamed today's attacks in Brussels on "mass immigration" - that's according to Labour's Euro-MP for the region, Glenis Willmott. She was responding to comments from UKIP's Roger Helmer, who said "a small number of jihadis" had entered Europe.
Dame Willmott, the leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party, said "now isn't the time to be making those kind of political points," but pointed out that Salah Abdeslam, a suspect in last year's Paris attacks who was arrested in Belgium last week, is a French national.
She added the attacks in Brussels were "horrendous" and that was trying to reach a friend but "hadn't been able to contact her yet".

David has been in touch to say there are delays eastbound on the A14 just before junction 1 at Welford because of an accident involving two lorries.
Also there is disruption in Northampton town centre due to roadworks on Spencer Bridge Road.
A traumatised Northampton girl was left horrified, external when she woke up on the kitchen floor of her house with a knife sticking out of a her leg, cable wire wrapped around her mouth, wrist and ankles, and no way of escaping.
