A 21-year-old man from Rushden has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an alleged attempted break-in at a garage on Burditt Close and a break-in at a garage in Vickers Close, both in Rothwell.
Image source, GoThe incidents are said to have happened between 03:00 and 04:00 yesterday.
Police are looking for another man believed to have been in the area at the time. He's described as white, 16-30-years-old and wearing a dark-coloured hoodie.
A 'celebration of his life' service, external will be held in memory of the face behind the #BacZac campaign, who passed away earlier this month after a battle with two cancers.

The 35 people employed by The Castle, external theatre in Wellingborough are waiting to hear if they will keep their jobs after the local council decided to terminate its contract.
Wellingborough Borough Council leader, Councillor Paul Bell, said The Castle Wellingborough Ltd has been given six months' notice because of "poor financial management".
Shows will continue at the theatre for now, but its Board is due to meet this evening to consider its response. A member of staff told me it's "a bleak day".

Just over a week before the East Stand at Sixfields stadium is brought back into use, the seats are being installed.
In all, 2,000 seats are being fitted. They will be used for the first time on 2 April when Northampton Town plays Notts County.

The mother of 'Baby R' - the subject of a serious case review this morning - gave birth to him on the bathroom floor, not realising she was pregnant.
The details were contained in a Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board report produced after the baby died, aged nine weeks old, as he slept on a sofa with his mother.
Image source, Northamptonshire PoliceThe review also said her children had missed some health checks and immunisation appointments, and there was a history of the mother not attending meetings to discuss their child’s progress.

A number of people contacted social services to raise concerns over a mother whose nine-week-old child waskilled as they slept on the same sofa.
Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board's review reports many people were concerned over the way she cared for her children. Children’s Social Care had decided a health visitor would monitor the situation.
The father of her first two children had contacted Children’s Social Care to report there were large areas of mould on the floor in the kitchen and on the cooker, and alleged the mother would fall asleep leaving the children unsupervised. He told social services the mother was pregnant again and not coping well.
The review said Children’s Social Services had advised him to seek legal advice.

Northampton Saints hooker Dylan Hartley says he is "unsure of when he will return to action" after suffering a blow to the head in the final moments of England's Six Nations Grand Slam triumph on Saturday.

Hartley said he was being closely monitored when he picked up the Six Nations trophy: "If you look closely there's this strange man always lurking about 10 metres in the background - that's actually the England rugby doctor who's keeping a close eye on me."

England captain and Northampton Saints star Dylan Hartley says he cannot remember lifting the Six Nations trophy after a blow to the head.

"Trying to piece the night together I can't remember certain things so it's almost like a drunken night," he said. "I'm looking at photos, trying to remember things. I can't remember the post-match presentations."

The Borough Council of Wellingborough has terminated its contract with the town's Castle Theatre, external.

The Castle Wellingborough Ltd, a charity, has been running the arts centre since 2011.
Detectives investigating the death of a woman at an address in Agnes Road, Semilong, Northampton, on Monday evening, are no longer treating it as suspicious.
A forensic post-mortem examination took place at Leicester Royal Infirmary yesterday and a file is now being prepared for the coroner.
A 41-year-old man from Northampton arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.

The leader of Wellingborough Borough Council has accused the town's theatre of "poor financial management".
Conservative, Councillor Paul Bell, was defending a decision by the council to terminate the authority's contract with The Castle Wellingborough Ltd which runs The Castle venue.
In a statement, he said: "I really hope that, by giving The Castle Wellingborough Ltd six months’ notice, the council will have time to find another way of running the theatre."
We have asked The Castle to comment.
Those who lost their lives in yesterday's terror attack are being honoured across Europe, with many famous buildings lit up in Belgium's colours including the Eiffel Tower in Paris, external, Rome's Trevi Fountain and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, external.
In Welingborough and Kettering, the local councils are currently flying the Union Flag at half mast in memory of the victims of the Brussels attacks.

Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board's review into the death of nine-week-old Baby R, who died after co-sleeping with his mother, said she had been warned of the danger of co-sleeping with her baby which, it said "led to Child R's tragic death".
The board said the mother had not engaged with health services and thereby "knowingly put herself and her children at risk".

One of the siblings of a nine-week-old baby who died after sleeping on a sofa with his mother had been "observed to be picking food off the school dining hall floor".
