  2. Greyfriars development: 'Northampton needs a PROPER bus station'published at 11:28 British Summer Time 19 July 2016

    Pete Cooper
    BBC Local Live

Yesterday we brought you details of the two schemes, external that will be competing for the development of the Greyfriars site.

You've been getting in touch about it...

What Northampton needs is a PROPER bus station.

It's ridiculous that my 84 year old mother, now has to queue at a town centre bus stop in the Drapery, in all weathers.

Turn the "new" bus station into a taxi rank, with the bus stops leased to the taxi companies & where customers can book & wait for their taxi somewhere civilised & rebuild a modern, bright "airport lounge" style bus-station, complete with shops etc where the old bus-station used to be.
