  5. Leak response being 'scaled back'published at 16:14

    Fire crews have been at the meat factory all day and said the leak, which was connected to industrial refrigerators, had now "been stemmed down".

    A spokesman for the fire service said they were now scaling back and the factory would soon be handed back to its owners.

  7. Homes evacuated after ammonia leakpublished at 15:44

    We've just heard that about 30 homes were evacuated this morning after an ammonia leak at a processed meat factory in Eastwood.

    It all happened at 10:15 in Brookhill Leys Road. No-one was hurt but people are still not being allowed back into their homes.

    We were called by a member of the public who told us about heavy traffic and road closures nearby.

    The controversial photo of two men standing next to the Nottingham Sea Cadets first emerged on Britain First's Facebook page last week.

    It purports to show the cadets being “guarded” against “Islamic extremists” – but the girls didn’t know who the men were when the photo was taken.

    The mother of one of the girls has told me Britain First are “racist bullies” and she’s “livid” with Facebook for not removing the photo.

  10. Man arrested in Spain over drug traffickingpublished at 13:50

    A suspected drug trafficker from Nottinghamshire has been arrested in the Costa del Sol.

    The National Crime Agency says it arrested Robert Dawes, 44, originally from Sutton-in-Ashfield, on Thursday in a joint investigation with the Spanish Guardia Civil and French narcotics police.
