Mansfield Town defender Mal Benning was so keen to make a swift return from injury he risked the wrath of his manager Adam Murray by testing his injured knee tackling the wall.

Benning told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It was just that last little bit where my confidence wasn't there tackling wise.
"So I thought 'why not do a bit of that at home?'"

BBC News OnlineOver the three-week trial, Nottingham Crown Court heard Caffrey touched pupils while they read out loud in class or in a store room in the classroom.
He was also convicted of raping a 19 year old in 1994, whose case was dropped 22 years ago due to a “lack of evidence” - and the court heard the original documents from her case had been lost.
Caffrey worked as deputy head teacher of Northgate Primary School in New Basford from 1978 to 1984.

BBC News OnlineA former deputy head teacher has this afternoon been jailed for 17-and-a-half years for raping and indecently assaulting his ex-pupils - some as young as nine.
Roger Caffrey, 70, of Sandesquoy, Tankerness, Orkney, taught at 10 schools across Nottinghamshire in a teaching career that lasted more than three decades.
Caffrey was found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assaults and three counts of rape against girls between 1978 and 1994.

No one knows what else Clive has been up to for the last 16 months but he was caught just two miles away from home on Tuesday.
His owner Tanya Irons who said she hadn't given up hope that he was still out there somewhere described him as "a bit porky" after he is thought to have been feasting on food in the warehouse in recent weeks.

The school was evacuated around 09:00 after a hoax call and nearby roads were closed while police searched the grounds and buildings.

The 21-year-old is accused of helping a Cardiff teenager travel to Syria to fight by offering "valuable advice" in online discussions.
Mr Ulhaq denies the charges of preparing for acts of terrorism and funding terrorism.

BBC News OnlineSpeaking in the House of Commons this afternoon about one of his constituents who went to Syria to fight with the Kurds, Conservative MP for Newark, Robert Jenrick called him "extremely brave".
He said: "Constituents like mine who have taken an extremely brave decision - one could argue foolhardy - to fight with our allies, will not for example, be able to enter the US for the rest of their lives."
He asked what could be done to raise the issue with the Home Secretary and make sure our country adopts "an appropriate policy towards the brave citizens of this country".

He was found at the Kennelgate pet food warehouse in Stapleford after staff there got a cat trap to catch him.
