    Fire crews and the Environment Protection unit were called to John Lewis about 22:40 last night.

    Bruce Keeling, watch manager at the Central Fire Station, said hot water had brought down a suspended ceiling and water with a temperature of 80C was "falling through the ceiling".

    John Lewis at Nottingham's Victoria Centre has flooded after 80,000 litres of water leaked from a ruptured heating pipe.

    The shop suffered "severe" flooding to all floors and significant damage to the building and stock.
