    After a fine end to the day, skies will turn cloudy overnight with some patchy light rain at times. 

    Cloud will thicken to give some hill fog and it will be misty at lower levels - a minimum temperature of 8C (46F).

    Weather

    Tuesday will start damp with some light rain. Cloud will gradually start to break up through the morning with some sunny spells by late afternoon.

    A maximum temperature of 13C (55F).

    Police say they are investigating after a teenager escaped custody yesterday evening.

    The 16-year-old, who was under arrest on suspicion of burglary and theft, escaped from Nottingham City Hospital just after 22:20.

    A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said searches are being carried out to find the boy but he "does not pose a danger to the public".

    • Traffic is queuing on the A50 eastbound between the M1 J24A and the junction with the M1 J24
    • The M1 southbound exit slip at junction J24 and the M1 northbound entry slip at junction J24 is queuing
    • Delays also on the A453 southbound between the junctions with the M1 and the A42  

    Elsewhere

    • There are delays on the A52 westbound  in Nottingham between the A6005 and the junction with the A6514 (near QMC)
    • Also slow on the A38 eastbound towards the M1 J28

    About 60 cars have been left damaged after this car salesroom in Gunthorpe was targeted last night by vandals.

    Police say they were called at around 00:45 and are investigating. 

    The owners say they have CCTV footage of the people responsible attacking the cars with a sledgehammer.

    In total, 22 misconduct allegations against Nottingham GP Khashayar Ghaharian were proved at the tribunal hearing.

    As well as calling his receptionist a "fat blob" Dr Ghaharian called her "thick" and called another member of staff a "cockroach" in his native Farsi.

    The report concluded: "His unsavoury, bullying, harassing and deeply unpleasant conduct can readily be described as deplorable."

    The cinema operator for the new Broadmarsh centre in Nottingham has been announced. 

    The Light, a Romanian company, will open a nine-screen cinema , external as part of the £86m redevelopment of the shopping centre.

    The firm, which promises "a new outlook on the cinema experience" runs cinemas in Cambridge, Sheffield and Dundee.

    Derby teenager Jay Clarke has travelled with the Great Britain Davis Cup team to Rouen to help them with preparations with their tie against France this weekend.

    The world number 420, who is not in the official squad, has been on court at Rouen’s Kinder Arena as a hitting partner for doubles duo Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot.

    Great Britain take on France for a place in the Davis Cup semi-finals between 7-9 April.

    Here's photos of police responding to the armed robbery at a house in Ilkeston last night. 

    The owner suffered minor injuries. A spokeswoman for the police said they believe the house was targeted rather than being a random attack.

    A 22-year-old man is being questioned by police.

    Sandra Wood, partner of farmer Jonathan Hall, said each of the cows stolen from their land in Youlgreave, Derbyshire was worth around £2,000 and seven of them were pregnant. 

    She said: "It's not just the loss of the cow, it's the loss of calf too. 

    "These people haven't just taken the first cattle which came to the door, they have been and picked what they fancied....our best cattle."
