The Market Hall in Derby will be closed tomorrow because of Storm Aileen.
High winds are expected to batter the country overnight, prompting the city council to close the market.
Four panes of glass on the roof of the Market Hall need maintenance work, a spokesman added.

A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with 14 house burglaries in Ordsall and Retford.
It happened between March and July, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Det Supt Andrew Gowan said: "I would like to reassure residents that officers have worked tirelessly on the investigation into these crimes and we’ve been able to arrest and charge an individual and put him before the courts."
The man, charged with burglary, was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 9 October.

Two brothers and four friends will be cycling 400-miles in memory of a man from Leabrooks.
Dean Bower, 25, who battled leukemia died just two days after getting married in February.
His friends and brothers will now cycle from Leabrooks to Lands' End near Cornwall to raise money for the Teenager Cancer Trust.
So far they have raised £6,500.
Dean's wife, Rebecca, said he had planned to do the charity cycle himself but the cancer returned.
