    - M1 southbound and northbound between J23 and J23A (East Midlands Airport) are heavily congested due to roadworks, two lanes are closed southbound with traffic building.

    - The A6 at Milford is slow due to temporary traffic lights, both lanes affected.

    When most of us were tucked up in our beds with a hot water bottle earlier this week, members of the Edale Mountain Rescue Team were out practicing their skills near Sheffield.

    The team was out training at Stanage Edge where there is still snow on the ground.

    Its members worked their way through a typical scenario at this time of year - a fallen climber who needed medical treatment and evacuating down to the road.

    Despite the conditions, it's good to know the volunteers are always ready for action whatever the weather.

    A trailer holding thousands of pounds worth of gymnastics equipment belonging to a display team has been stolen in Mapperley, external.

    Police said it was taken from Kingsbridge Avenue at about 18:00 on Tuesday.

    A band have been ridiculed for apparently changing the line-up poster for this year's Y Not Festival to move themselves higher up the bill.

    A version of the poster shared on The Sherlocks' social media accounts mysteriously showed them in a higher position than the official graphic.

    Organisers of the Derbyshire festival told the BBC there was only one official version of the poster so the band must have altered it themselves.

    After hours of merciless ribbing on social media, the band responded with a mocked up Glastonbury 2018 poster showing themselves as headliners.

    A woman police have been searching for has been arrested in Derby.

    They issued an appeal, external last week in a bid to trace Sarah Blackham in connection with three allegations of theft.

    A delighted cat owner was reunited with his pet after more than 200 days apart.

    John Alexander lost Tigger last July, and every day since, he's spent wondering what happened to him and whether he'd get him back.

    "I rang vets, the microchip company, created posters and knocked on people's doors to see if they knew anything," he said.

    Despite his efforts, John was beginning to think he'd never see his pet again - but he kept his bowl and bed on the off-chance he'd return.

    On Monday, he received a message from a vet in Sileby, Leicestershire - about 10 miles from his home - saying Tigger had been found and his chip revealed John was the owner.

    John said he was overjoyed to see him again but it was difficult to take him back.

    "A couple had adopted him and got quite close to him. I do feel for them because the lady was very attached."

    The University of Nottingham is getting a share of £30m to make pioneering improvements in healthcare.

    It - and several other universities around the country - will bring together sets of medical data, to reveal patterns and trends.

    The information will then be used to drive breakthroughs in how to prevent, detect and diagnose diseases.
