BBC NewsA "dangerous" 25-year-old who showed "no remorse" has been jailed for five years for having sex with a 13-year-old.
Image source, Nottinghamshire PoliceAshley Hayes-Whites, of no fixed address, Nottingham, pleaded guilty to inciting a teenage girl to engage in sexual activity and for breaching his sex offender requirements.
He had been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register in 2011 for two offences of sexual activity with two girls under the age of 14.
Passing sentence, the judge also made Hayes-White the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
It means that he will never be allowed to be around a girl under the age of 16, or have any contact with the victim.
PC Ross Topham said: "Hayes-White’s complete disregard of his previous convictions and requirements shows that he had no desire to reform himself, or had any remorse."

BBC NewsA lorry driver who was using his mobile phone and programming his sat-nav at the wheel has been jailed for causing death by dangerous driving.
Image source, GoogleStephen Marshall, 58, from Mansfield Woodhouse, died in December 2016 when Keith Manning's lorry hit his van on the A617 at Hockerton.
Dashcam footage of Manning showed that at the time of the collision he had just ended a call on his mobile.
The 36-year-old, from Newark, denied causing death by dangerous driving but was found guilty by jurors following a four-day trial.
He was jailed for three-and-a-half years and disqualified from driving for three years and nine months.
Manning was also told he would need an extended retest if he wanted to return to the road.

Mr Hess added that he was "quietly confident" Whiskey's prediction would come to pass.
If England do go on to win, he could finally open that special bottle - bought for Italia 90 and only to be opened when the Three Lions finally come good.

BBC NewsA commemorative stone has been unveiled in Derby Market Place to honour a local soldier who was awarded the Victoria Cross.
Brigadier Charles Hudson received the medal in June 1918 from King George V in recognition of his brave actions in Italy during World War One.
Despite being vastly outnumbered and in severe pain from a bomb exploding near his foot he bravely led a successful counter-attack after enemy forces had penetrated his unit's frontline.
The attack culminated in the capture of 100 enemy soldiers and six machine guns.

Local Democracy ReporterOadby and Wigston Borough Council is being forced to hire bin lorries because its own vehicles cannot collect the new wheelie bins being rolled out to residents this month.
The Liberal Democrat-run authority has ordered lorries that will be able to collect the new bins, but they will not arrive until September, leaving it needing to hire vehicles in the interim.
It was announced last month that wheelie bins would be introduced for recycling collections only weeks after a new bags scheme was launched.
A spokesperson for the council said the amount being spent on the hiring was "well within the budget for vehicles".

BBC NewsPolice are investigating after a pair of running shoes, worn by Usain Bolt at London 2012, were stolen.

It is believed the Puma Evosprints were taken during a break-in at a property in Linton, Derbyshire, on Sunday 10 June.
A 35-year-old has been charged in connection with the theft and nine other burglary offences, Derbyshire Police added.
Anyone who thinks they may have seen the shoes are being urged to contact the police or Crimestoppers.

They were treated in hospital and their condition is not life-threatening.
The people, aged 23, 27 and 38, have all been charged with burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.

Local Democracy ReporterThe rising cost of maintaining and repairing council buildings could see Buxton's library and Fairfield community centre and adult education centre moved across town.
The proposals form part of Derbyshire County Council's aim to make use of the former Buxton Water bottling plant, close to the railway station.
Much of the site will be taken up by a new £20m hospital, while the town's two community hospitals would be closed and moved to the new location, along with some GP services.

Derbyshire Police said the woman was targeted in Sheffield Road, Whittington Moor, at about 10:45 on Wednesday.
A 38-year-old man from Chesterfield has been charged with robbery and remanded in custody.

BBC NewsThe police watchdog has cleared a firearms officer of any wrongdoing, external after a man with an air pistol was shot in the chest.
The shooting happened on 27 August when police were alerted to a man armed with a handgun walking near Heanor Health Centre.
Duncan Campbell was shot once in the chest after raising the pistol despite having been "red dotted" with a Taser and ordered to put the gun down.

It said the officer "used necessary and reasonable force when faced with a very difficult set of circumstances".
Mr Campbell, who received a suspended sentence after the incident, has apologised to the officers involved.

BBC NewsLoughborough University's latest accommodation block will be named after one of the UK's first female engineers.
Image source, Loughborough UniversityClaudia Parsons attended the institution between 1919 and 1922 and later became the first woman to circumnavigate the globe by car.
George Etherington, president of the Loughborough Students' Union, said: "It’s fantastic that a new Loughborough hall of residence is being named after such an inspirational woman."
The first students will move into the block in September next year.
