Speaking to Mark Dennison on BBC Radio Nottingham, Sarah says she sometimes cannot see her son when she is collecting him from school and has to make him wear bright football boots so she can watch him play.

    Sandish Shoker
    BBC News

Bitcoin is being used to catch criminals including fraudsters, kidnappers and drug dealers, Derbyshire police said.

Chief Constable Peter Goodman told BBC East Midlands Today: "The majority of drug dealing doesn't take place on street corners anymore, where you meet a shady dealer and pay £20 for your hit.

"The majority takes place on the dark web using crypto-currency and stuff delivered to your house."

    Bitcoins

Mr Goodman said Bitcoins and other crypto-currencies are being used more by criminals because you buy and sell it online and it can't be traced by a bank.

But it can also be used by officers as part of covert techniques to gather evidence.

"We've used them in traditional kidnap cases, we've used them in extortion cases, we've paid for firearms through Bitcoin to make sure they don't enter the streets of Derbyshire and we can keep Derbyshire safe," added Mr Goodman.

"We've also used Bitcoin to buy drugs as part of our evidential and prosecutional process. This is no longer a Cinderella sport for us."

The force did not say how many people have been arrested where Bitcoin has been part of the investigation.
