    Police say they're worried about the safety of two 14-year-old Nottingham girls who've gone missing.

    Jesika Thorpe and Jade Smithern, who are from the Beeston and Lenton areas of the city respectively, were last seen yesterday and are thought to be together.

    Nottinghamshire Police have asked anyone with information on their whereabouts to get in touch urgently, external.

    This is what's been causing delays on the A1 northbound this morning - a shed load of blue powder paint following a crash in the early hours.

    Lincolnshire Police said no-one was injured in the crash, which happened near Dry Doddington at about 03:30.

    Specialist cleaners are dealing with the spill and there are major delays stretching back to Newark.

    An exhibition has opened in Derby dedicated to one of Britain's most popular crime writers.

    Agatha Christie: Mysteries, Murders and More features items loaned to Pickford's House museum by a private collector from Rutland.

    As well as photos, promotional material and props from the many screen adaptations of her work, the exhibition also has its own murder mystery for visitors to try to solve.

    The Friar Gate museum said the exhibition will run until January.

    An on-the-run killer who almost decapitated his mother's ex in a "frenzied" attack has been recaptured.

    Andrew Craigie, 38, had disappeared from Sudbury open prison in Derbyshire on Wednesday morning.

    Craigie was arrested on Tixall Road, Stafford, at 23:00 BST, Staffordshire Police said.

    He was given a life term in 2007 after admitting the manslaughter by diminished responsibility of Geoffrey Watkins in a knife attack in 2006.

    A transgender woman said she "felt humiliated" after a bank froze her account because she sounded like a man.

    Sophia Reis, from Nottingham, was using Santander's telephone banking service when a member of staff said she could not access her money.

    The 46-year-old said a customer service adviser later told her the problem had arisen because of her voice.

    Santander said it has a "duty to protect the security" of accounts but apologised for any offence caused.

    A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing in Nottingham.

    Nottinghamshire Police said the victim died in hospital after being found with stab wounds to his chest in Hawksley Road, Hyson Green, at about 17:40 yesterday.

    Det Insp Justine Wilson said: "We believe this is an isolated attack, unconnected to recent incidents in other areas and there is no further threat to the wider public."
