    A picture appeal has been issued by police after a man and woman were attacked and robbed in Chesterfield town centre, external.

    A 49-year-old man was reportedly assaulted by a group of men in Corporation Street at about 23:00 on Saturday 20 October.

    The group allegedly stole a handbag belonging to a 51-year-old woman he was with and walked off.

    Derbyshire Police said they want to hear from anyone who recognises the men in the photos.

    Video footage has been shared of two men police want to speak to after an assault in Nottingham that left a man with head injuries.

    Nottinghamshire Police said a 25-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being attacked in Revolution at about 01:00 on 15 September.

    They've asked anyone who recognises the men in the video to get in touch, external.

    A man who put lives at risk by starting several fires in a Leicestershire village has been jailed.

    Leicestershire Police said Danel Milburn was responsible for arson attacks in Mowsley Road, Bell Lane and Church Street late on the night of 29 August and the early hours of 30 August.

    After starting the fire in Bell Lane, he told staff from a nearby care home he was a trained firefighter.

    At Leicester Crown Court, the 34-year-old, of Burma Road, in Sharpness, Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty to three counts of arson recklessly endangering life and was jailed for five-and-a-half years.

    Det Con Chantel Booth said: "Milburn claimed to have been drunk at the time, which is no excuse for his actions.

    "He is lucky that no-one was seriously injured as a result, but what he did has still had a significant, lasting impact on a number of people."

    This is the incredible scene at the King Power Stadium after ten days of tributes being left for the five victims of the helicopter crash.

    The club has said the flowers will soon be moved to Car Park E, where they will be left to fade in their own time.

    A plan is still being drawn up for the hundreds of shirts, scarves and other items that have been left but a club spokeswoman said "nothing will be thrown away".

    The firm has hundreds of outlets nationwide - including in Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Belper, Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Chesterfield, Worksop, Beeston, Ashby, Arnold, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Loughborough, Mansfield, Beaumont Leys, Fosse Park, Coalville, Hinckley and Market Harborough.

    The chain said 85 stores had closed or were closing, while talks with landlords on a further 13 were continuing.

    A further 26 stores are trading rent-free, with landlords or New Look able to end the arrangement at any time.

    The Leicester City Foxes Foundation has been renamed the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation in honour of the club's late chairman.

    Khun Vichai died when his helicopter crashed outside King Power Stadium last month.

    The club has said the foundation, under its new name, will continue to build on its "life-changing work" to reflect the "generosity, care and love" of Mr Vichai.

    Free, fortnightly garden waste collections are to be reintroduced by Derby City Council from April, subject to cabinet approval next week.

    It will mean households would no longer have to pay an annual £40 charge for garden waste to be taken away.

    The council is hoping to meet the government's targets for reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill by recycling at least 50% of household waste by 2020.

    The move is expected to cost almost £600,000 a year, with another £770,000 upfront for new brown bins.

    Three people have been arrested, external over Sunday's fire at the cattle market in Nottingham.

    Two men, aged 18 and 25, and a 25-year-old woman were detained on suspicion of arson earlier this afternoon.

    The blaze, which caused significant damage to around six businesses, started at about 17:40 on Sunday.

    Almost 300 cannabis plants with a street value of about £200,000 have been found at a business centre in Nottinghamshire today.

    The plants were growing across five rooms at the centre in Shireoaks, near Worksop.

    A 20-year-old man who was arrested in connection with a shooting outside a bar in Nottingham has been released on bail.

    A 24-year-old woman suffered an arm injury outside Das Kino in Fletcher Gate at about 22:20 on Saturday, after a man fired shots before riding off on a moped.

    Officers believe it was a "targeted attack" but the woman, who has since been discharged from hospital, was not the target.

    Police have asked anyone with information to get in touch.

    A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a lorry this morning on the A511, Ashby Road in Woodville.

    A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Police said they were called to the crash just after 07:20 and a short time later the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

    “Investigations are ongoing and no further information is available at this time,” she said.
