    Derby County could face Accrington Stanley in the next round of the FA Cup if they win their third round replay against Southampton next week.

    A date for the replay tie at St Mary's hasn't been confirmed yet.

    A burst water main in the Bestwood Village area has left hundreds of homes without water this morning.

    Severn Trent Water has apologised and says engineers are working to repair the pipe on Moor Road to get customers re-connected in the next few hours.

    Spokeswoman Sarah-Jane O'Kane said: "We are doing everything we can to get people back on.

    "We have got tanker streams set up so we are bringing water in big tanks to put directly into pipes near people's homes."

    Police want to speak to this man after two attempted burglaries at the same Worksop building.

    They received reports that a man tried to climb in to a property in Ratcliffe Lane using a ladder at around 00:15 on December 21. They believe the same man had tried the same thing just three days before.

    Officers hope someone will recognise his build or clothing, such as a Nike rucksack with 'Just do it' written in dark letters. They have particularly highlighted his "quite distinctive footwear".

    An 18-year-old was sexually assaulted at a Nottingham city centre bar.

    It happened in Baa Baa, in Goose Gate, at around 03:00 on Sunday December 30.

    Police would like to speak to this man about the attack.

  5. Report finds use of force by prison staff doublespublished at 09:12 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2019

    Government inspectors have raised concerns about levels of violence at Lowdham Grange prison in Nottinghamshire.

    A report from the HM Prison and Probation Service found the use of force by jail staff had doubled since the last report in 2015.

    During their visit in August, inspectors found there had been 314 incidents involving the use of force by staff in the previous six months - almost double the 166 found on their last visit.

    The report found levels of segregation and self harm were also high and that while overall management was adequate, improvements are needed.

    Private company Serco which runs the jail said it was "pleased" good practice had been highlighted and would tackle the recommendations made "as a matter of urgency".

    Work has begun to pull down parts of a shopping precinct in devastated by fire.

    The blaze at Leicester's Belgrave Commercial Centre, which started on Sunday night, is being treated as arson.

    The fire service confirmed demolition work began at the site overnight. Meanwhile business owners say they've been left counting the cost.

    Nisha Popat, who runs the Mirch Masala restaurant, said: "It's our livelihood, it's our only source of income but we also employ staff and it's their only source of income. So as a business it's quite devastating. How do we trade in the interim? What do we do?"

    More than 50 MPs have called on the head of the Met Police, Cressida Dick, to improve their response to abusive protesters outside Parliament.

    In a letter to the chief they have cited "serious concerns" about the "deteriorating public order and security situation" and intimidation faced by MPs, journalists, staff and members of the public.

    It comes after Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry was verbally abused and called a Nazi yesterday afternoon during live TV interviews on College Green and as she tried to get back into the Palace of Westminster.

    A memorial service to mark the 30th anniversary of the Kegworth disaster will be held later.

    A Boeing 737, with 126 people on board, crashed onto the M1 in Leicestershire in 1989 during an emergency landing, killing 47 people.

    The flight had been diverted to East Midlands Airport as it travelled from London Heathrow to Belfast and almost all those on board were from Northern Ireland.

    The service takes place at St Andrew's Church in Kegworth, at 11:00 and will be followed by a walk to Kegworth Cemetery where wreaths will be laid.
