    Two people have been arrested after a van was stolen yesterday afternoon.

    The van was taken from Milton Drive, Ravenshead, at about 12:45 yesterday.

    A 42-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and theft of property.

    The man was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and failing to attend a court appearance.

    They both remain in police custody.

    Matlock Bath is a seaside town that is nowhere near the sea. Here, Mark visits the National Stone Centre, where there aren't any stones. And he has fish and chips in a chip shop, of which there are hundreds.

    He also takes a trip up the cable cars to The Heights of Abraham and he talks to a man who is the only human ever to enter the Bonsall World Championship Hen Races.

    Mark's award-winning series travels around the country visiting towns that have nothing in common but their uniqueness.

    After thoroughly researching each town, Mark writes and performs a bespoke evening of comedy for the local residents.

    Police are "extremely concerned" for the safety of this woman.

    Yvette Whiteside was reported missing from Mansfield today.

    She is described as slim, 5ft 2in tall and has curly bright red hair. She was last seen wearing a black hat with a pom pom, a brown jacket with fur, blue jeans and Ugg boots.

    Parents with sick children have been given brand new refurbished accommodation to stay in when they visit Nottingham's hospitals.

    The refurb cost £500,000 and was largely paid for through charitable donations.

    Among those benefiting is mum Andrea Gregorich, whose nine-month-old daughter has been treated at the Nottingham Children's Hospital since last November.

    She said: "It makes things a lot nicer to be here in a bad situation, because none of us have chosen to be here."

    A man stole from a 78-year-old's house while the pensioner went to pour him a glass of water.

    The burglar had first knocked on the Clifton man's door and asked for a cigarette. Five minutes later he returned and asked the elderly man for a drink of water, following him in to his house.

    While his victim was distracted he opened up his wallet and took out £60.

    A 39-year-old man was arrested last night on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody.
