    Two men have been taken to hospital with stab wounds after a fight in St Ann's, external.

    Police said the men were found injured in Hedderley Walk at about 13:15.

    Two other men are in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of affray.

    Nottinghamshire fast bowler Luke Wood has joined Northamptonshire on loan for the first two fixtures of the County Championship season, external.

    The 23-year-old put pen to paper on the deal today and will be available for the first two games of Northants’ season in Division Two against Middlesex and Glamorgan.

    A 35-year-old man is recovering after being attacked and robbed by four men in Mansfield yesterday.

    Police said the victim had his wallet taken after being thrown to the ground and kicked at the junction of Newgate Lane and Gladstone Street at about 12:20.

    He suffered a cut eyelid and bruising but did not require hospital treatment. Police are now looking for the group, who were all wearing tracksuits, external.

    Derby Road is currently closed between the Queens Medical Centre and Priory island.

    A burnt-out Land Rover Defender has been found by police in Sheepy Magna.

    The car had been stolen overnight between 1 April and 2 April from the Ashby de la Zouch area.

    Police have said it was originally green with white roof and that it looks like the doors were stolen before it was torched.

    The force is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

    A crash involving a car and a lorry which shut a motorway junction involved a vehicle being chased by police.

    The exit slip road and roundabout at J30 on the M1 in Derbyshire have now reopened following the collision at about 06:50 this morning.

    Derbyshire Police said they are now investigating the circumstances of the crash.

    A group of MPs chaired by Nottingham South MP Lilian Greenwood have launched an inquiry into parking on pavements and the problems it causes.

    The Transport Select Committee says despite numerous complaints from constituents and campaign groups for visually impaired and disabled people about the dangers, the government is yet to act.

    Director of Disability Direct Nottingham, Charlotte Throssel, is a wheelchair user and said maneuvering around vehicles blocking the pavements is almost a daily problem.

    "People just need to be a bit more respectful and a little bit more of aware of where they're parking," she said.

    "Perhaps get out the car and check if you can get through. If the width of your body can get through with a bit of arm space then maybe a person in a wheelchair or with a pushchair can get through."

    A plaque marking the spot where Nottingham Forest FC was founded is to be installed on a pub in the city.

    About £500 has been raised by fans to have the commemoration manufactured and fitted to the wall of the Orange Tree, which was known as the Clinton Arms, in 1865.

    The football club was founded by a group of shinty players, similar to hockey, who chose red as the team's colour in honour of Giuseppe Garibaldi.

    The Italian commanded an army of Red Shirts in a revolution across Italy.

    Supporter group Forza Garibaldi raised the cash within a couple hours of announcing the project, which has the backing of Nottingham Civic Society and Nottingham Forest.
