    A group of Pokemon Go fans are planning to combine playing the game with litter-picking in Leicester at the weekend.

    About 24 players will be taking part in a clean-up along the River Soar between Bede Park and Abbey Park on Saturday while trying to make progress in the popular game, which involves spotting virtual characters in real-life locations.

    Leicester City Council said it was supporting the event by providing protective gloves and bags as well as disposing of the collected waste.

    The group will include council employees as well as staff from both Leicester universities and Leicester Royal Infirmary.

    Police are looking for the public's help to identify a woman who was found collapsed in Mansfield this morning.

    The woman, believed to be in her 70s or 80s, was found with a head injury in Samuel Brunts Way, Mansfield, at 02:40 today.

    She is currently in hospital and police are investigating how she suffered her injuries.

    Almost £6,000 has been donated to a family left homeless after a fire destroyed their home in Leicester.

    The Rafique family, who lived in the Beaumont Leys area, have been sofa surfing, staying with relatives and doing odd jobs in return for somewhere to live since the blaze last May.

    They want to raise £35,000 to make the home habitable after the fire, which started in the house next door and spread to their property.

    Iqbal Rafique did not have insurance at the time of the fire, something he said has caused him "deep shame".

    Iqbal said: "I just can't thank people enough. There are so many people who have given money, lots of them anonymous. To get nearly £6,000 so quickly has just left us so thankful.

    "We can't explain how much it means to us. I just want to say to people who have donated 'God bless you,' we just can't believe it."

    Mr Rafique had asked Leicester City Council to pay for the repairs at his property after the fire broke out in the house next door, which is owned by the authority.

    An offer from Leicester City Council to buy the property expired on Monday. Mr Rafique declined the offer after getting his own valuation from a property auction agent.

    A city council spokesman said: "This offer was made to enable the family to move forward after what has clearly been a very difficult time."

    A teenager has been arrested after a police chase in the Sherwood area of Nottingham.

    Police received a report of three people acting suspiciously in a car in the Quorn Road area at around 04:30 this morning.

    The car was stopped after a brief chase and the driver, a 17-year-old boy, tried to flee.

    He was found shortly afterwards with the help of a police dog and was arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft, failing to stop, possession of a Class B drug and possession of an offensive weapon.

    He remains in police custody.

    Police are still looking for two other people who they believe were in the vehicle.

    A survey by Sport England has found there's been a increase in adults being active in Nottinghamshire.

    The Active Lives survey, external classes being "active" as doing more than 150 minutes of exercise a week.

    In Nottinghamshire the figure of people doing this has increased by 4.1% in the last year to over 64.3%.

    The number of adults being "inactive" - meaning they do less than 30 minutes of exercise a week - has decreased by 2.2%.

    Leicestershire and Rutland has seen a 0.5% increase in adults being active but in Derbyshire the number has slightly fallen by 2.2%.

    The data was collected between November 2017 and November 2018 using data from more than 14,500 people in the East Midlands.

    Nationally, the data showed the number of adults who were regularly active had increased by almost 500,000, whilst the number of inactive adults has fallen by 185,000.

    These results have primarily been driven by an increase in the number of women who are regularly active.

    Sport England said there is still much to be done with "persistent inequalities" for those from lower income families, black and South Asian backgrounds and disabled adults.

    Sports minister Mims Davies has voiced support for the idea of players and teams leaving the field of play if they hear racist chants or remarks.

    The minister was answering a question from Labour MP Mike Amesbury, who asked what action was being taken "to stamp out racist abuse at every level of the game".

    It follows a number of high profile recent incidents, including the arrest of a Brentford supporter on suspicion of racially abusing Derby County midfielder Duane Holmes on Saturday.

    Davies told the House of Commons: "Football cannot be used as a cloak for racism and intolerance and this is a sign that players have had enough, fans have had enough, and this government has had enough.

    "It's absolutely right that players can take the right actions and we should stand with them."
