A widening gap will emerge between the economies of the South East and the North of England after Brexit, and Derby will be left at the very bottom, a new report suggests.

A study by law firm Irwin Mitchell and the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), predicts that, at the end of 2020, the city will have the lowest economic growth of any city in England (0.6%).

No location in the North of England or Midlands is in the top 10.

The forecasts assume an amended version of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement will be the basis of the future UK-EU relationship.

    BBC Sport

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was pleased by the "great courage" his players showed in their Manchester City game on Monday, saying their performance bodes well for the future.

The game ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Foxes, after Vincent Kompany's wonder strike. It puts a spot in next season's Europa League out of Leicester's reach.

But their manager said: "Our motivation was to come in for our own development and performance. We pushed City, arguably the best team in Europe, right to the very end.

"I thought defensively and tactically, the team played a good game. They are difficult to contain with their quality and some world-class players.

"We will learn from this and look to end the season strongly."

An HSBC advert which aims to tap in to local pride by referencing famous pubs, inventions and sports teams has appeared in Highbury Vale in Nottingham.

Unfortunately, it's clear it was supposed to have been put more than 150 miles further north in Newcastle, where references to Geordies, the Toon and the Angel of the North would make a bit more sense...

To be fair, the nod to the 'Magpies' does work for both cities.

This week she's supporting a national campaign to raise awareness about the condition - which affects a quarter of a million people in the UK.

She said: "Before I got ill, I used to get up, brush my teeth, go to the loo, have a shower, get dressed and wash a few pots - now I wouldn't achieve all that in a day.

"It's very much behind closed doors. When you see us, it's on a good day when we don't necessarily look that ill - you don't see the three days of rest to get to that point."
