Police have named a 19-year-old man who died after the car he was driving crashed into a wall.
Jamie Huscroft, from Keyworth, was driving his Vauxhall Corsa when it came off Main Road, Plumtree at about 01:25 on Monday. He died at the scene.
His family said in a statement: "Jamie will always be a great son and brother but more so a friend to all.
"He will leave such a huge hole in so many people’s lives. Full of fun, laughter and such a character.”
A 22-year-old passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is in a stable condition.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved but a police investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the crash.

A care home manager claims staff have already threatened resignation if Covid vaccinations become compulsory.
The government announced on Wednesday the vaccination would be mandatory for all care home staff in England.
Geoff Butcher, who runs six care homes in the West Midlands, said the approach was "incorrect".
He said two of his staff had already said they would leave their roles if it was enforced and an applicant had walked out of an interview.
"It's already impacting recruitment," Mr Butcher, who runs Blackadder Care Group, said.
"This is my primary concern - if you're looking to make care homes safe, the first thing you need is to have them fully staffed.
"So if you're having things that are going to impact those staffing levels and impact what is already a very difficult recruitment process... you're putting in a significant risk."
The group runs homes in Malvern, Hereford, Bewdley, Stourbridge, Leicester and Cheltenham.
Mr Butcher said he supported carers being vaccinated, but said the approach should be "to explain and encourage people, not to make it compulsory".
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said it was a "sensible and reasonable step".
The landmark has been closed for three years and its reopening was delayed due to the pandemic.

A couple due to get married next week said the removal of the 30 guest limit had "not really made it better" and some family members would still have to miss out on their wedding.
Jane Slater, 46, and Darren Laurie, 43, from Sutton-in-Ashfield, cancelled their original wedding in December with 100 guests.
The couple have been more cautious with their second date and invited just 31 guests to their big day next Thursday.
Ms Slater said she was relieved the limit of 30 had been removed as it meant all of the invited guests would be able come.
However, they chose the new date after the road map was announced with the hope of being able to add extra guests after 21 June.
But with social distancing still needed venues are not able to let couples have limitless guest lists.
"The hall is still restricted on the numbers that they can have in the hall so we're only going to have an extra 15 people," she said.
"They're saying you can have receptions and you can have unlimited numbers of people but you can't because it's still restricted by the rules."
With restrictions on wedding dancefloors, the couple have opted to only book a singer and not a disco.
Ms Slater said: "It's not a reception is it? It's still not a wedding reception.
"The restrictions have been lifted but I don't feel like they have really been lifted.
"I think he [Boris Johnson] just said this to make it feel better but when you come down to doing stuff it's not really made it better.
"We still can't invite family members - there still people we can't actually invite to the wedding that we want to invite."
Scrum-half Ben White and fly-half Joaquin Diaz Bonilla are among the players released by Leicester Tigers.

A man has been found injured and unconscious in an alleyway in Clifton.
Police said officers were contacted by East Midlands Ambulance Service after the 51-year-old was found on a path off Fairisle Close just after 21:00 on Tuesday.
The man had a wound to his chest which is believed to have been caused by a sharp object.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but the force does not believe his injuries are life-threatening or altering.
Det Insp Kayne Rukas, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: "A member of the public discovered the injured man after hearing a noise.
"He was found unconscious in an alleyway next to a broken bottle of alcohol.
"We have spoken to the victim who was on his way back from the shops and has no memory of being injured."
Police are carrying out further investigations at the scene and have asked anyone with information to come forward.

A teenager has had his off-road bike confiscated by police after he was caught riding it without tax and insurance.
Nottinghamshire Police said he had been seen "bare-chested" and "helmetless" around Hibbert Road in Mansfield at about 20:00 on Thursday.
After being stopped by officers his bike was taken away and the rider was also handed a fixed penalty notice for using the vehicle without a licence.
Nick Butler, from the neighbourhood policing team in Mansfield, said residents had been complaining about off-road bikes being used in and around the estate "for some time".
"We understand the appeal and the excitement that can come with riding a motorcycle," he said.
"We don’t want to stop people from riding their bikes; we just want them to ride them in a safe and legal way.
"Sadly this young man was not riding in a safe and legal way. He was bare-chested and not wearing a helmet – making the consequences of an accident all the more serious."
Today will be a dry and warm day with plenty of sunny spells and just some patchy cloud during the afternoon.
