    Oxfordshire County Council, external has made 60 desks available at Abbey House in Abingdon. It says district council staff are heading there.

    County council staff who use the building are also being asked to work more flexibly to make more space for them.

    A fire has engulfed the South Oxfordshire District Council building and a funeral parlour nearby. A property in Roke Marsh was also on fire.

    Thames Valley police have arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of arson in connection with the fires.

    Karl Mitchell-Shead has telling BBC News how he was woken-up by the sirens of emergency service vehicles, and filmed a video of the huge fire at the South Oxfordshire County Council building.

    He said he could see what looked like the "remnants of a vehicle" in the foyer of the building.

    He said: "We wondered if someone had accidentally or purposefully driven into the building, but it certainly looked like that is where the fire started."

    The council is putting their business continuity plan into place but most services will be affected.

    I have the latest from the Crowmarsh Gifford fire, where smoke continues to pour from the roof of the building of South Oxfordshire District Council, which has been almost completely gutted across the entire top floor.

    In places you can see the roof has collapsed and you can see daylight through the building. Firefighters are still battling to bring this fire under control.

    The fire at the offices of South Oxfordshire District Council, is "believed to be the result of arson" according to Council Leader John Cotton.

    He told BBC Radio Oxford's Phil Gayle that the cause of the fire wasn't "completely clear", and he was concentrating on carrying out contingency plans.

    He said: "We have plans for this sort of thing and I expect everything will be back supplying services in a couple of hours."
