    • There are delays of up to one hour on Chiltern Railway between Princes Risborough and High Wycombe due to an earlier incident on a train
    • There is slow traffic on the A34 northbound between Weston-on-the-Green and M40 junction nine following an earlier four-car collision.

  8. Drugs trade remains 'a huge problem' says former police chiefpublished at 17:27

    A former chief constable of Thames Valley says the illegal drugs trade remains a "huge problem" and should not be legalised.

  9. Seven Banbury burglaries being investigatedpublished at 17:15

    Seven burglaries in different properties on one night Banbury are being investigated by police, external.

    Offenders smashed windows to get into the houses in Bloxham Road, Broughton Road and the Fairway in the early hours of 28 December. Jewellery was stolen from all properties.  

    Police said they were linking all the burglaries.

  10. Oxfordshire drugs gang sentencedpublished at 16:55

    Members of a drugs gang have received prison sentences totalling more than 70 years, external following a trial at Oxford Crown Court.

    During the investigation, police siezed cocaine, MDMA, and other drugs with an estimated street value of about £1.3million.

    Thames Valley Police says the conspirators made "substantial amounts of money" supplying drugs across the South of England and beyond.

  15. Alternative Cholsey school appeals for donationspublished at 15:23

    A pioneering, "alternative" primary school in Cholsey is asking for people across the county to donate £1 towards their new school, so building can begin in 2016. 

    The Treehouse School, which is non fee-paying, is run by two former teachers who currently teach 20 pupils in a cottage in the village. 

    They claim their teaching meets the needs and interests of the children, offering outdoor learning and locally sourced meals to families.

  17. Warning over Abingdon courier fraudpublished at 14:44

    Police have issued a warning, external about fraudsters operating in Abingdon after five people handed over £25,000 after being contacted by telephone.

    The caller claimed to be a police officer, fraud investigator or bank employee. He told victims to withdraw cash, claiming their bank account had been compromised and convinced them to hand it over to a courier who called at their door.

    Det Sgt Francesca Jarvis said the callers were "very plausible".
