On South Today this evening: A year ago today a series of arson attacks happened in and around Wallingford.
A cottage, a funeral parlour and the council offices in Crowmarsh Gifford were seriously damaged.
Now the councils who were based there have told us they are actively looking for a new permanent home and do not expect to return.

A woman whose cottage was nearly destroyed in a series of arson attacks a year ago says she's delighted to finally move back home.
Jean Gladstone was forced to live elsewhere for nearly a year while her cottage in Rokemarsh was rebuilt.

Two people from Barton have been arrested on drugs offences, external after police raided a top floor flat this morning.
It happened in Underhill Circus at about 09:00.
Crack cocaine and cannabis were seized.

Philip Pullman, author of the "His Dark Materials" trilogy, has explained why he resigned yesterday as a patron of the Oxford Literary Festival.
Pullman told BBC Radio 4's World at One programme he could no longer be a patron of a festival which did not pay authors for their time.

Oxford has moved one step closer to getting a working farm built in the city with planning approved in the Florence Park area.
The £1million project will take years to complete but, once finished, it will give local children the chance to learn about food production and interact with the animals for free.

A student who organised a charity fundraising YouTube video featuring Alan Rickman says the actor "was really amazing" for giving them his time, just two months before he died from cancer.

In December we brought you the news that Alan Rickman had helped Oxford University students with a charity fundraising video, which features his voice and footage of a tortoise eating a strawberry.
With his death yesterday the YouTube film is thought to be one of the last pieces of work he did.

A Met Office Yellow warning for ice, external has been issued for Oxfordshire.
The warning, which means 'be aware', runs from 17:00 to 10:00 on Saturday.
Fifteen scientists from Oxford will receive £15,000 a year over three years to support medical research into a range of illnesses, external.
The money comes from the NHS's National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and will go to specialists working in genetics, childhood vaccines, eye surgery, skin conditions and nursing.
Meanwhile, the NIHR has launched a study into gender equality, external, taking place at Oxford Biomedical Research Centre and and the NIHR BRC at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London.
