    The Rhodes Must Fall campaign have argued that the views of the colonial politician are incompatible with an "inclusive culture" at the university.

    Oxfordshire County Council has increased the amount it spends on resurfacing roads and repairing potholes more than any other council in the country, according to a Freedom of Information request by the Institute of Advanced Motorists, external.

    A mental health trust has been criticised for taking more than a year to fix a leaky roof that led to the smell of sewage in a bedroom at its Whiteleaf Centre facility.

    Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust was rated as "requires improvement", external by the Care Quality Commission.

    A trust spokesman said the sewage smell had been a "teething problem" and they had apologised to the patient affected.

    Two councils forced to move after their offices were devastated by a rampaging arsonist will probably never return to their former home, a spokesperson says.

    The headquarters of South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse district councils in Crowmarsh Gifford were gutted on 15 January last year.

    About 400 staff have been working from home or at temporary sites ever since, and the councils say they are looking for a new building on a new site.
