  1. Sport headlines: United hope to draw fans to Luton game

    It could be the biggest league crowd of the season and promotion-chasing Oxford United are looking to ensure as many of the fans inside the Kassam Stadium this weekend are cheering on the Yellows.

    Lucky fans could get the chance to meet Michael Appleton at the weekend

    It's understood their opponents Luton have asked for more than their initial allocation of just under 1,500 tickets, but United want their own fans to secure their seats today to justify a decision to reject that request. 

    United chairman Darryl Eales said anyone who buys a ticket before the close of today will be entered into a prize draw - the lucky winner would be upgraded to hospitality, given a tour and meet manager Michael Appleton and the players.

    We'll see some good long sunny spells and with light winds it will feel quite pleasant in the sunshine.

    There's always the risk of showers, particularly in the afternoon, and they could be on the heavy side, maybe even with some hail and a rumble of thunder.

    Temperatures reaching highs of about 15C (59F) so not too bad where we hold onto the sunshine.

  3. Travel latest: Congestion around city roadworks

    • The A34 is looking slow in both directions on the approach to Hinksey Hill Interchange
    • Swinford Toll Bridge is looking very slow from all approaches
    • And expect some delays in Kingston Bagpuize on the A415 Faringdon Road through the temporary lights there
