    Andy Morgan says: "Oxfordshire should vote out of England now."  

    Sue Tompkins says: "Great result if you don't own property, have a pension, have savings, need the NHS any time soon etc etc."

    Meanwhile Kath Bonner-Dunham called it a "brilliant result" and Ashley Brown says he "cannot stop smiling".

    Labour councillor Mike Rowley (pictured) was led away by police following an incident which happened inside Oxford Town Hall but outside the main count.

    It's unclear what sparked it but the councillor ended up being restrained by bouncers. There was shouting from Mr Rowley and a small crowd gathered to watch although there was no disruption to the counting itself.

    He was calmed down following the interventions of local MP Andrew Smith and MEP Anneliese Dodds. Police then arrived and led the councillor away.

    Ian Hudspeth, the leader of Oxfordshire County Council, was at the count in Witney overnight, and told the BBC David Cameron should remain as prime minister in the aftermath of the vote to leave the EU.

    "I fully support him. I think he's the man for the job. He knows all the ins and outs of Europe and can get the best deal for us."

    Tempers frayed at the Oxford count after city councillor Mike Rowley was ejected from the town hall when he clashed with security staff who refused him entry.

    He attempted to enter the venue at about 00:30 BST. 

    After he was halted by door staff, police attended the town hall and restrained the Labour councillor before he was taken home.

    Voters in Oxfordshire have bucked the national trend by declaring they want to remain in the EU.

    Count in Oxford

    The Remain campaign was boosted in Oxford after a 40% majority vote at 02:20 BST.

    With a 70% turn out there, 70% of people voted to stay in the EU.

    When added up, in the county, 56.70% voted to remain, 43.20% voted to leave, with a total of 378,608 voting.

    You may be waking up to the news that the UK is heading to leave the European Union, but the news locally is that Oxfordshire voters were mainly on the side of the remain camp.

    Oxford voted 70.3% in favour of remaining, Vale of White Horse 56.7%, South Oxfordshire 55.0%, and West Oxfordshire 53.7%.

    But just in, Cherwell has voted 50.3% to leave. Talk about close...All local results can be found here.
