Football: Shrewsbury chairman backs Mellonpublished at 17:54
The Shrewsbury Town chairman has given the vote of confidence to manager Micky Mellon, after their 7-1 defeat to Chesterfield.
In a statement to fans, Roland Wycherley says both he and the board are 100% behind the manager and will back Mellon in the transfer window.
The chairman says it wouldn't be practical to offer a refund to fans who made the trip to Chesterfield, but the club will lay on free coaches to this weekend's Cardiff game.

Football: Shrewsbury's Collins looking forward to a new startpublished at 17:20
Shrewsbury Town's James Collins has been talking about his loan move to Northampton Town and says it came about very suddenly.

They were due to be linked to the electricity network with a series of pylons through north Shropshire.
The Department for Energy and Climate Change had refused planning permission, but the High Court has ordered a rethink.

Attingham Park is providing the inspiration for a new story by the Oscar-winning creator of Downton Abbey, Julian Fellowes.
Belgravia is set during the Napoleonic Wars and will be published in installments which you can download to smartphones or tablets, before it is released in hardback.
The first installment will be out in April.
Record breaking year for football shirt charitypublished at 16:15
The RAF Shawbury charity which collects football shirts and takes them to needy people around the world says it delivered 7,256 of them last year, to 15 countries.
When you add the school uniforms to that total, it rises to 27,380 items, the biggest in Taking Football to Africa and Beyond's nine-year history.

It also went to refugee camps on the Syria/Turkey border and to the Gaza strip.

The police have closed the eastbound slip road onto the motorway, so they can carry out some investigation work there.

Last season’s top scorer has dropped a division to try to help second-placed Northampton to promotion.
Collins says he might consider making the move permanent in the summer.

Work is underway to turn the school into an Academy and the school says it has made progress in a limited amount of time.

Telford Conservative leader accepts cuts are 'very challenging'published at 14:05

BBC Local LiveThe leader of the Conservatives group on Telford and Wrekin council has accepted that the Labour-run authority has some "very challenging" cuts to make.
But Councillor Andrew Eade says it should look at cutting staff travel allowances, which he says could save up to £500,000 and draw on a £12m pot of money in the council reserves.
