BBC TravelTemporary lights will be going up around the Limekiln Bank Roundabout in Priorslee on Sunday as workmen continue their upgrade of the island.
And Telford and Wrekin council says that will inevitably lead to longer delays on surrounding roads.
The authority says it apologises and the company managing the lights will try to make adjustments to the timings if there are major problems.

BBC Local LiveA Shropshire Spitfire pilot who shot down his first plane at the age of 19 has been talking about his memories of the aircraft, ahead of the 80th anniversary of its first flight.
Allan Scott from Wem is now 95 and said it was a plane that "would never let you down".
He flew during the Battle of Britain and the Siege of Malta and said sometimes in a dog fight he was so scared that "perspiration would get down into the mouth and into the eyes".
Last year he got the chance to fly one again (pictured above), and impressed his co-pilot by completing a number of mid-air manoeuvres.

Attingham Park gets ready to open its doors after big refurbpublished at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2016
For the first time in over 200 years the roof at Attingham Park is water-tight and that's allowed workmen to carry out a big conservation project inside - knowing they don't have to worry about drips of water spoiling it.
The £1.4m project started in 2013. Time-lapse footage filmed by Richard Knisely-Marpole captured the final preparations ahead of the grand reopening tomorrow.

A Shropshire Spitfire pilot has been talking to BBC Radio Shropshire about his memories of the aircraft, ahead of the 80th anniversary of its first flight.
Allan Scott from Wem is 95 now, but clearly remembers shooting down his first German plane over Clacton-on-Sea.
And Mr Scott will be going to Biggin Hill in London tomorrow, to talk about his involvement in the Siege of Malta.

BBC TravelThere will be overnight roadworks on the A49 at Onibury Bridge (the one that passes over the River Onny) between 21:00 and 06:00 tomorrow.
It's to allow workmen to carry out some emergency resurfacing work.
And because the road will have to be closed in both directions, a diversion is being set up, taking traffic along the B4368 and B4365.

There were some beautiful clear blue skies over Shropshire this morning, but the cloud is moving back in again.

BBC Local LiveLudlow Town Council wants people to know the town is "open for business", despite the closure of Ludford Bridge.
The bridge has been shut since being damaged by a lorry, with a warning this week that it might take three months to repair because it's a specialist job.
The town council says there are other routes into town and hopes visitors won't be put off.

BBC Local LiveWork is finished on the new roof at Attingham Park, but the National Trust didn't stop there and one of the other tasks was to lay the carpet in the Nash Picture Gallery.
It's been held in storage for three years because of concerns about leaks from the old cast iron and glass roof.
Richard Knisely-Marpole has produced this timelapse video to show the work being done.

It's being organised by the people behind the Shrewsbury Food Festival, who are promising more than 130 producers in The Arena on 30 and 31 July.
There will also be demonstrations, tasting areas and a live music stage.
