A Hanwood man who piled on the weight after a serious knee injury has lost 20 stone in nine months - that's more than two stone every four weeks.
Peter Warren, who is 35, says he became depressed after hurting his cruciate ligaments and was tipping the scales at 32 stone, with a 66 inch waistline.
But after gastric band surgery he has rediscovered his love of sport, climbing Snowdon five times and playing cricket again for village side, Pontesbury.
Quote MessageI have regained a lot of my old confidence. I now wear 34 inch trousers and have ditched the 8XL size tops. People are always shocked when they see me, but I still want to improve my fitness levels and get stronger. I’d love to play another 90 minutes of football and then be able to retire again.”
