    Police say a woman who went missing from home in Doncaster yesterday has now been found.

    Officers say Eleanor Tebbett was found safe and well in the town this afternoon and they're thanking the public for their help in finding her.

    Sheffield's Warp Films has taken two BAFTA awards; Best mini-series for This is England '90 and Best Supporting Actress for Chanel Cresswell, external.

    Company boss Mark Herbert has told BBC Radio Sheffield that he's learned to not rely on his gut feeling at awards ceremonies. He says he's usually wrong and that this year he felt Doctor Foster would take the gong.

  6. South Yorkshire fire crews tackle moorland blazepublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Fire crews from South Yorkshire have joined the fight to bring a big rural fire under control.

    In all there are ten crews, including four from South Yorkshire, at a moorland fire near Derwent Lane, at Bamford, not far from the Lady Bower Reservoir.

    Police in Doncaster are asking for help to find 30-year-old Eleanor Tebbett.

    She hasn't been seen, external since leaving her home yesterday at about 1.30am in the Queens Road area of Doncaster.

    Police say they're increasingly concerned for her welfare; they're urging her to get in touch.

  9. Electrical faults are the biggest cause of property fire damage in South Yorkshirepublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    A campaign has been launched today by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue over the dangers posed by electrical items. The service says two-thirds of property fires are caused by electrical goods.

    The number of such incidents has risen and includes a range of items including phone chargers to e-cigarettes., external

    There were 190 house fires involving electricity in 2014/15, up from 165 the previous year and 150 in 2012/13. The kitchen is the most likely room in the house where electrical fires will start.

    Efforts continue to find a man after a shooting in Sheffield.  

    Shots are said to have been fired outside the Foxhouse Inn on Hathersage Road on Sunday 1st May.

    No one was injured but police say it's vital that they trace the suspect, external.

    They've issued CCTV taken from a bus' camera system, it's thought the suspect had been on the bus before the shooting incident.

    Carlton Road in Barnsley is closed both ways following a crash.

    A police car is involved in the incident and the road is closed between the A61 Wakefield Road and A633 Rotherham Road.

    Work has begun to build a new education and training centre in Doncaster.

    Thousands of engineers will be trained at the new facility, known as the National College for High Speed Rail, external.

    The centre is being built at Doncaster's Lakeside and will be a 7,200 square metre building.

    It'll train people in traction power supply and distribution, business management and operation planning.

    Dan Fell of Doncaster Chamber of Commerce sums up the scheme.

  17. Dogs and puppies stolen from Doncaster farmpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 9 May 2016

    Four dogs and 11 puppies have been stolen from a farm near Doncaster, police have said, external.

    They were taken between 08:20and 19:30 on Saturday from farmland in Stainforth Road, Barnby Dun.

    The dogs include a red female Malinois, who has half an ear missing, a brindle, or tiger-striped, male Dutch Shepherd, a white female American Bulldog and a fawn/black female German Shepherd, with a ‘V’ cut out of her right ear.

    The puppies are all Malinois and are two weeks old.

    A team of 10 police officers has returned to the Greek island of Kos to carry out "house-to-house visits" in the search for missing Ben Needham.

    South Yorkshire Police said officers travelled to Kos on Sunday and would hold a press conference tomorrow.

    Det Insp Jon Cousins said: "It is likely that someone out there knows what happened to him and we will be appealing to people in Kos who have information to come forward and tell us what they know."
