    The Penistone Station Wildflower Nature Reserve has been welcoming volunteers this afternoon. 

    The Wildflower Reserve is a relatively new partnership between the Trans Pennine Trail conservation volunteers and the Penistone Line Partnership, so I went to take a look.

    A union has expressed "serious concerns" about the integrity of the sales process of Tata Steel, which has been considering bids for its UK business for weeks. 

    A meeting of more than 60 reps of the Community union agreed to send a statement to the Indian conglomerate voicing concerns, saying almost three months have passed since the announcement that Tata intended to sell its UK assets.

    Sir Cliff Richard is considering suing the BBC over its coverage of the police raid on his home in 2014 over historic allegations of sex abuse.

    The singer has told the Daily Mail, external the BBC "have a lot to answer for" for broadcasting the raid live on TV.

    The lifeboat scheme that protects pensions when a company fails has raised concerns over a government plan for steel workers' pensions.

    The government believes a £485m pension deficit has been deterring potential buyers of Tata Steel's UK business, putting 10,000 jobs at risk.

    It outlined a series of proposals to alter the terms of the pension scheme.

    Patients at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals are benefiting from live music sessions on the wards thanks to funding from the Trust’s dedicated charities, Sheffield Hospitals Charity and the League of Friends charity.

    Over 100 music sessions a year are now taking place across the Trust thanks to devoted fundraisers and volunteers at the charities.

    Police in Rotherham are appealing for your help to find missing Anthony Higgins.

    Anthony, who is 52 and from the Cottenham Road area of Rotherham, was reported missing at around 14:00 today although he has not been seen since Wednesday 15 June.

    It was quite a surprise to see pictures of a funnel cloud in the skies across South Yorkshire.

    Funnel clouds are essentially tornadoes that don’t reach the ground.

    This was the cloud spotted over Wath Upon Dearne.

    They are in fact reasonably common in summer time when the weather is unsettled and large shower clouds or thunderstorms are developing.

    What is surprising is that this one formed on a day when weather conditions across Yorkshire are relatively settled.

    There must have been just enough energy and rotation of the air within the cloud to create this funnel cloud, which persisted long enough for a number of photos to be sent to us this morning.

    Your views will be taken into consideration before the introduction of the new bus network at the end of January 2017.

    It's emerged 219 new flats are going to be built at Kelham Island in Sheffield. 

    South Yorkshire Housing Association has signed a deal with an investment fund - in what's thought to be one of the first housing associations in the country to secure investment of this kind.

    All properties will be available to rent - with around one third of properties offered at sub-market rents. 

    Building work is due to begin in the autumn with completion in 2018.

    Police are asking for your help after a 20-year-old man was attacked ten days ago.

    At 02:00 on Saturday 11 June, the victim was attacked by an unknown man outside the Corporation nightclub in Milton Street, Sheffield.

    PC Lisa Bates, the polcie officer injured while responding to a domestic incident in the Gleadless Valley area of Sheffield in April has thanked the public and her colleagues for their messages of support during her recovery.

    PC Bates (pictured), who is based at Woodseats Police Station in Sheffield, suffered a fractured skull, broken leg and severe hand injuries, while a number of other officers suffered less serious injuries.
