    The tattoo convention "Tattoo Jam" is at Doncaster racecourse for the next three days.

    More than 200 artists will be showcasing their work and there'll be the Tattoo Industry Awards tonight.

    Organiser Shelley Bond says the event is a big deal in the tattoo world:

    A new £6m air ambulance is set to take to the skies next month after charity Yorkshire Air Ambulance took delivery of the helicopter.

    The state of the art chopper will serve five million people across Yorkshire providing life-saving help to more than 1,000 people a year.

    Ollie Houfe made a spur of the moment decision to ride his motorbike from Sheffield to Kazakhstan.

    He and his mate, Jamie Parker, left their life behind after Jamie split up with his girlfriend and they headed east.

    He loved it so much that he stayed there for two years teaching English.

    Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has described social media as an "unfortunate part of football."

    The Blades boss was having his say after a fake John Brayford account posted suggestions that he was leaving, which turned out to be untrue.

    So would Wilder ban players from using it altogether?

  7. Man jailed for sexually exploiting teenagerpublished at 10:32 British Summer Time 5 August 2016

    A 29-year-old man has been jailed for three years and eight months , externalfor sexually exploiting a teenage girl from Rotherham, as well as possessing indecent images and videos of children. 

    Lee Hatfield, of Manor Close, Rawmarsh, appeared before Sheffield Crown Court to receive his sentence after pleading guilty at an earlier. The court heard how Hatfield groomed his victim, a teenage girl who cannot be identified for legal reasons, via social media in November last year.

    The victim reported this to her school, who notified police. Hatfield was arrested and his electronic devices seized.

    The M18 in South Yorkshire is slow this morning because one lane has been closed on the northbound carriageway between J3 and J4 because of a broken down vehicle.

    Lane one is closed but traffic is coping well.

    Yorkshire Water has announced water in Thorne and Moorends, near Doncaster, is once again safe to drink without having to be boiled first.

    It comes after E. coli was found in the supply, but Yorkshire Water say they've taken several clear samples and that is is now safe to drink.

    Student leaders from Sheffield Hallam University have written a letter of complaint to South Yorkshire Police about how they policed the Sheffield Gay Pride event in Endcliffe Park last week.

    South Yorkshire Police say they've received a number of complaints about a protest group at the event.

    The MP for Rotherham Sarah Champion says she wants the independent inquiry into child sex abuse to carry on with minimum delay.

    It will continue, despite the resignation of the New Zealand judge appointed to lead it.

    Dame Lowell Goddard has become the third chairwoman to step down from the inquiry.
