The graffiti isn't just unsightly, it's a source of danger too according to Network Rail:

    Quote Message

It attracts people to the railway and that's a massive safety concern for us. If they see a piece of wall, whether that's under a bridge or next to a station, and they think that's an attractive place to hang out and spray graffiti it can be really dangerous. There are trains running right through the day and through the night and we obviously don't want people to get hurt so it's really important that people don't grafitti especially near the railway

You can't just paint a grade 2 listed building and it's totally irrelevant what you paint on it that isn't the point! "

    Paul Scott

    Quote Message

I remember the barber opposite my house painting his shop bright orange, it looked monstrous and we had to look at it all day, every day. More decorum please. I'm guessing he wants his cake shop to stand out from the crowd and to get people talking. He's certainly got lots of free publicity out of this 😃"

    Alison Wells

    Quote Message

I remember when they did this and I was just baffled, it's so garish. This isn't America, we don't need our flag shoved in our face everywhere."
