    It's been announced today that hundreds of jobs could go at Gunstone's Bakery in Dronfield after the firm lost a contract with Marks and Spencer. 

    The firm is trying to minimise the impact on the work force and secure more contracts. Consultations have started with the unions.

    Union officials said up to 524 posts were affected, which represents 45% of the site workforce.

    New research carried out by BBC Yorkshire has revealed that more people died from drug misuse in Yorkshire than on the region's roads. 

    The investigation found that over three years around 600 people have died from taking drugs compared to 400 deaths in road accidents.

    Police are investigating after an armed robbery in Mexborough, Doncaster, this morning. 

    A man went into Windells Newsagents, in Doncaster Road, at around 06:40 armed with a firearm and demanded cash before fleeing with a quantity of money.

    The Op Ben Team, as they're known, were up and searching bright and early this morning. 

    Detectives are pleased with how things are going, they say they're making good progress and found some fabric yesterday which they say is of "slight interest" to the investigation.

    Today work focused on an area of farmland around a large tree.
