The authority says it will have to save £40m over the coming year and is blaming government cuts.

I spoke to Councillor Ben Curran, Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources on Sheffield City Council, I asked him if the cuts weren't just forcing the council to become more efficient?

Sheffield Council has added that it has already saved £352m over the last six years.

The authority says it will look to save more money by cutting management salaries and selling off assets.

Parents at Hollingwood Primary School were sent a text yesterday after someone dressed as a clown was seen near the school scaring children.

I spoke to parents and asked them if they were worried.

The school is urging people not to dress up in this way.

The text also suggested that parents might want to collect their children at the end of school if they were due to walk home alone.
