    A woman has started a jail sentence after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of her partner in Stoke-on-Trent.

    Sophie Lou Butler, 20, was sentenced yesterday at Leicester Crown Court to six years and three months in prison.

    She had previously admitted killing her boyfriend, Norasab Hussain, external, 33, at their flat in Bromley Court, Hanley, on 30 May last year.

    Their relationship was volatile and the court heard how domestic abuse, was a toxic feature which undoubtedly contributed to an unhealthy relationship and ultimately, this untimely death.
