    Attacks on NHS staff in Staffordshire and Cheshire are unacceptable and need to be sorted out, according to a union representing them.

    The latest NHS figures for 2014-15 reveal there were a total of 252 assaults, external on NHS workers at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS staff.

    That works out as 20 attacks per 1,000 staff. NHS bosses say there's "no room for violence" in the health service.
