    The Conservative MP for Stafford Jeremy Lefroy has been elected to a parliamentary committee set up to question the government's Brexit plans

    Mr Lefroy campaigned to remain in the EU and will join 19 other MPs to scrutinise Theresa May's negotiations. 

    The leading Tory Brexit campaigner Michael Gove is also on the committee.

    The Stoke City assistant manager Mark Bowen says the club's fans should recognise the strong record manager Mark Hughes has in the Premier League.

    After a rocky start to this season when Stoke hadn't won a game until this month, they've now notched up back-to-back wins.  

    Bowen told BBC Radio Stoke that supporters shouldn't panic as not many people know the Premier League better than their boss.

    People are being asked by police to call for emergency medical help immediately if they find a missing man, external from Stone. 

    Staffordshire Police are continuing to search for Joshua Smith, 27, (pictured) who was last seen at his home in Stone on Tuesday morning

    The force has had officers searching woodland and fields to try and find him and have urged dog walkers to "be vigilant". 

    Now they've put out more information saying Joshua could be "suffering an adverse reaction" to his current medication and may need immediate help.

    Owners of derelict buildings in Stoke-on-Trent are being urged by police to "stay vigilant" so they don't get targeted by criminals

    It comes after Staffordshire Police found more than 300 cannabis plants in a disused pot bank on Monday on Commerce Street, Longton.

    A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and released on bail. 

    Now the force says it wants owners of derelict buildings to make sure they don't get taken over and used by criminals.

    A new hair and wig salon, external for people with cancer is being opened at Stafford's County Hospital.

    Fiona Ford, from Woore, was diagnosed with the breast cancer in 2009 and says she was disappointed with the wigs available when she lost her own hair through treatment. 

    So she raised £50,000 to set up a centre to help others like her. 

    The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs the County Hospital, says patients can now have a one-to-one appointment with a wig fitter and choose from over 80 different wigs.

    Masked men have stolen a car after "threatening" a woman in Wombourne and demanding the keys. , external

    Staffordshire Police say two men went up to her as she was outside her house on Common Road last night.

    Officers say they demanded the keys and the 43-year-old handed them over before the pair drove off with the white BMW which also contained her handbag and phone. 

    The force says the woman was unhurt but shocked.

    An MP is calling for all political parties to work together to campaign for the expansion of Birmingham Airport.

    Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant says he brought the issue up in Commons yesterday after the government backed a third runway at Heathrow, but didn't get much of an answer.

    Staffordshire’s success in retaining global businesses has been highlighted in parliament today.

    MPs welcomed the news that General Electric has started construction, external on the second of its two new research and manufacturing facilities at Staffordshire County Council’s Redhill Business Park.

    Prime Minister Theresa May said: “I am delighted to hear of GE’s commitment to Stafford. However it is more than just a commitment to Stafford, it is a commitment to the UK as a whole and to the future of our economy."
