    Staffordshire Police says thieves smashed their way into Chasetown Community School yesterday morning, external and stole laptops and tablets pupils use for lessons.

    The force says there were similar break-ins on 12 and 22 October.

    The B.A.C O'Connor service has been told that council funding will be halved and that one of its two centres in the county could close.

    I've been speaking to people at the centre who are warning that people could die if it shuts and you'll see more on Midlands Today on BBC One from 18:30.

    Three kilometres (1.86 miles) of canal's been search by police looking for a man who's been reported missing in Stone, external for more than a week. 

    Joshua Smith, 27, was last seen crossing railway lines near his home in the town.

    Staffordshire Police say they had "no indication" he'd gone into the canal but search it as a precaution and found nothing. 

    Officers say they also handed out leaflets to try and jog people's memories, adding that the community spirit in the area has been "overwhelming".

    A 20-year-old darts player from Stoke-on-Trent says he's hoping to be the next Phil Taylor.

    Callum Matthews from Meir Park told BBC Radio Stoke he realised he was a good player when selected for the county team.

    Last month, he won the Donna Louise charity trophy at the Kings Hall, external where he was up against Taylor and fellow darts champion Adrian Lewis. 

    Now he's told me he wants to become a professional and, at his mum's suggestion, has come up with a way to stand out on the oche - wearing pink!
