    Developers have told BBC Radio Stoke they can't say how long it will take to make a Stafford retail park available for use.   

    The Kingsmead site has been closed since last year, after a deal to bring Morrison's to the town collapsed, and local traders say the unused car park is affecting their businesses.

    The site's owner, Triple Jersey, says it's waiting on the completion of multiple legal, planning and insurance processes over its future use.

    More than £48,000 is to be spent improving a children's playground in Nantwich.

    A woman from Draycott has been arrested in connection with the distribution of material relating to the Stoke-on-Trent Central by-election, police say. 

    The 78-year-old has been released on bail after officers detained her on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred.

    A woman is in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a collision on the A500 yesterday afternoon.

    The 43-year-old woman had to be cut free from her car and was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

    Traders near to the Kingsmead car park in Stafford say they've been "left in the dark" over its future. 

    The site has been closed for almost 11 months after a deal to bring Morrison's to the site collapsed. 

    One shop owner says she's had the worst January since opening in 2012.

    He was there to open a new £1m all-weather community pitch and pavillion, located next to the stadium.

    A teenager from Stoke-on-Trent has told the BBC how she nearly died after developing toxic shock syndrome (TSS). 

    19-year-old Phoebee Bambury (pictured) recently developed the rare condition, which is caused by bacteria getting into the body and releasing harmful toxins.

    Things to know about toxic shock syndrome:

    • There are around 40 cases of TSS in the UK every year
    • Women, men and children can all develop TSS
    • Risks can include tampons and open wounds such as cuts, burns and insect bites
    • Flu-like symptoms, such as headaches, chills and a sore throat can be linked to TSS

    A devolution deal for Cheshire is back on track, after councillors in Warrington voted in favour of the plan last night. 

    Three councils will now work to get government powers and funding transferred to the county. 

    Calls for Warrington to join the Liverpool City Region instead have been rejected.
