    Firefighters had to abandon their fire engine and travel by foot to get to a reported kitchen fire in Stoke-on-Trent because they say cars were double parked., external

    Staffordshire Fire Service is warning people could be putting lives at risk by parking inconsiderately.

    It says the crew had to try alternate routes to get to the fire, caused by a grill pan on Dorcas Drive, Blurton on Saturday afternoon.

    The fire service believes a lot of the inconsiderate parking was due to the Stoke City match taking place at that time at the nearby Bet365 Stadium.

    Young motorcyclists are being urged to be extra cautious after an increase in the number of people killed on the roads.

    A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged with dangerous driving after a chase through the city.

    Daniel Nawrot from Penkhull was arrested after the car he and a woman were travelling in was stopped in Tunstall on Monday night.

    The woman involved has been released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and theft from a person.

    A man filmed throwing a lamb into a field in Staffordshire has come forward to the RSPCA - after it was shared widely on social media.

    There were concerns the animal was left with a broken leg.

    A local animal rescue says they've also been out searching the Eccleshall area for the lamb and the charity says it's continuing to investigate what happened.

    The first shows he was paid £5 a week when he signed for Stoke City in 1932 - dropping to £3 a week in the summer.

    The brothers also sold a second contract which Sir Stanley signed in 1935. By then, his wages at Stoke had increased to £6 a week.
