Six men have been jailed over a £17m fraud involving selling solar panels to elderly, retired and vulnerable people.
The 1,500 victims were "manipulated" to buy panels with the promise they would get their money back from investments, the Serious Fraud Office said.
But the jury heard the gang spent the cash on sports cars and holidays.
Ludovic Black, David Diaz, Robert Ross, Kenneth Reid, Stephen Wilson and Niall Hastie were jailed following a trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
The men ran a company called Solar Energy Savings Ltd, based in Manchester, which is no longer trading.

Firefighters were called to investigate fears of a dangerous chemical at a house where a Stoke-on-Trent woman died.
The woman's body was discovered at the property on Glebedale Road yesterday afternoon and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service later confirmed the chemical was turpentine-based.
Staffordshire Police remain at the house and say the death is unexplained at this time.

The fault with the signalling system, external in the Stoke-on-Trent area has been fixed, the National Rail website reports.

The parents of murdered soldier Lee Rigby are hoping to raise £500,000 to expand a retreat which they helped set up to help bereaved soldiers and families.
The Lee Rigby Foundation Centre, external opened in Oakamoor, Staffordshire, last October and is run by Lee's mum and stepdad, Lynn and Ian.
They are trying to raise more money to build 13 new bedrooms, a hydro therapy pool and cafe.
Lee Rigby from Middleton, Greater Manchester, was killed outside his barracks in Woolwich in May 2013.
