    Four people arrested in connection with the stabbing of a man in Ipswich have been released on bail until February.

    Police were called to a fast food outlet in Bramford Road shortly after 16:00 on Wednesday. 

    A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old man from Ipswich, and a two 19-year-old men, one from London and one of no fixed address, were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

    Ipswich Town will have striker David McGoldrick back on the bench for tonight's game with Middlesbrough at Portman Road.

    McGoldrick, who has been out with a groin injury, returned to full training this week. Manager Mick McCarthy says it's good news, but Town fans can't expect to see too much of one of their favourite players:

    "If we're 0-0 with 30 minutes to go, don't start shouting 'David McGoldrick' expecting him to come on. He's not at that level, but we'd get 10 or 15 minutes out of him at full tilt."

  9. Police cuts: 'It's a period of readjustment' says PCCpublished at 08:53

    Cuts planned to save £5m from Suffolk's police budget over the next two years, will see 110 posts going, and 15 of 18 police stations being closed to the public - though they will continue to have staff in the buildings.

    Suffolk's Police and Crime Commissioner Tim Passmore says: "Please don't think everything's reached an Armageddon situation, it's all doom and gloom, that just isn't the case.

    "It's a painful period of readjustment, but I'm absolutely confident we'll come through the other side in good shape."

    More than 110 posts at Suffolk Police look set to go, in measures which will save £5m over the next two years.

    Temporary Chief Constable Gareth Wilson said the changes would produce an "absolutely top model" despite the resources reduction.

    The cuts are part of £20m that will need to be cut from the budget by 2020. Some of those savings having already been made.
