Chantry Academy, external in Ipswich, which officially opened a multimillion-pound building at the end of November, is still in special measures after the latest inspection, external by education regulators.
But Ofsted says leadership at the academy, formerly Suffolk New Academy, is making effective progress towards removal of the measures and can now appoint newly qualified teachers.
This latest inspection was carried out in December. The school has been in special measures since January 2014.
The Supporters Club's ITFC On The Road event in London on Tuesday 26 January could be hit by a Tube strike, while the evening at Bury Town on Monday 8 February is now sold out, external.

A woman has pleaded guilty to arson with intent to endanger life, after a house fire in Ipswich on Christmas Day.
Kerri Mills, 36, of La Salle Close in the town, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court today.
She's been remanded in custody, and is due to be sentenced in the week commencing 22 February.
Town’s U18s are in action away against their AFC Sudbury counterparts in a friendly, external this evening (KO 19:45).

An inquest jury has been hearing evidence from the widows of two pilots killed alongside multi-millionaire Tory peer Lord Ballyedmond in a helicopter crash near Beccles.
It happened in thick fog at Gillingham in March 2014. The women said their husbands would not take any risks.
The inquest is continuing.

A driver killed in a road crash in Suffolk was a father-of-five and a "dedicated and inspirational" deputy head teacher, his family said.
Image source, GoogleAnthony Benson-Smith, 45, died in a collision between his Ford Fiesta and a Peugeot 107 at Mettingham, near Bungay, on Friday.
As well as describing him as loving, thoughtful and caring, the family statement said: "As deputy head teacher of Bungay Primary School, he demonstrated his strengths in leadership, compassion and support for his team."

A soldier left with lifelong muscular pain after an accident in Afghanistan has won a payout of £100,000 from the Ministry of Defence.

The final amount of damages - which includes awards of £30,000 for pain and suffering and £10,000 for loss of congenial employment, plus sums for lost earnings -has yet to be agreed but lawyers assessed the total as more than £100,000.

Spoof news website Suffolk Gazette, external has claimed another victim after Sky News anchorman Eamonn Holmes read out one of its old stories as part of its breaking news coverage of David Bowie’s death.
Image source, ReutersOn its home page, the editor writes: "The passing of a legend is no laughing matter, of course, but Sky News picking up our Spice Oddity story, external about Bowie serenading a group of diners in a Suffolk curry house, which was published well before he died, takes the biscuit.
"Especially as we had added a note to the top of the story after Bowie passed, making clear his appearance in the Taj Maharaja in Bungay, which does not even exist, was a spoof."

The family of Anthony Benson-Smith, who died following a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Bungay on Friday, have paid tribute to him.

A rare Mercedes-Benz Gullwing car, owned by the former chairman of a Suffolk company, could sell for £1m when it's auctioned in March, external, says Bonhams.
Image source, BonhamsThe 1955 Mercedes-Benz, only the third to be delivered to the UK, is part of a collection owned by the late Kingsley Curtis, who moved to Hartest in the mid-1940s and became managing director of HRP Refrigeration, external when his father died.
Other vehicles owned by Mr Curtis include a 1923 Bentley 3-Litre TT Replica, and a 1960 Maserati 3500 GT.

Ipswich Town, external are running the rule over former Republic of Ireland full-back Kevin Foley who played for the club's Under-21s against Charlton yesterday.

Junior doctors on the picket line at Ipswich Hospital, external have been explaining why they're taking strike action.
One of those taking action, Helen Port, said the new contracts were a real threat to the safety of patients, saying: "We're going to be overworked and too tired to safely practise for our patients."
In October Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said: "This is a good deal for doctors. We are reducing the maximum hours a doctor can be asked to work from 91 to 72 hours [a week]. We're stopping doctors being asked to work for five nights in a row."

Ipswich Town are back in action, external at Portman Road tonight, hoping to end Leeds United's eight-game unbeaten run.
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy says his opposite number Steve Evans has done a good job at Elland Road since taking charge in October.
"They've really improved. They've got good players, no doubt about that. I think it'll be a really tough game... they're on a good run, as are we," he said.
