Ipswich's Basketball players, external are back in contention for the Division 2, external play-offs ahead of tomorrow's fixture with Brixton at Copleston.
The news is partly down to the addition of two Portuguese players to the roster, Edson Ferreira (pictured) and Daniel Caluico.
"They are absolute studs at this level, and very hard working," said head coach Nick Drane. "Suddenly we have this Portuguese flavour to our team and it has changed our fortunes."

A woman was taken to hospital this morning with minor injuries, after being hit by a van on a zebra crossing in Haverhill.
Police say, external the van driver didn't stop.
The collision happened on Withersfield Road, near to the Rose and Crown pub, at about 08:45.

A Lavenham man had his hand cut by a burglar he disturbed in his kitchen yesterday.
The victim had returned home and discovered the man, who grabbed a knife from a block on the worktop and injured him, before running away from the property.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Water Street area just after 12:00.

We brought you the story earlier that the North Suffolk Skills Academy, which is run by Bungay High School, is to close in August 2017, and that a petition has been launched to try to save it.
In a statement, Angelo Goduti, headteacher, says they are "so disappointed" that efforts to avoid the closure have not been successful.
He adds: "The current and projected ‘dip’ in student numbers at the NSSA affects funding and financial viability significantly making it impossible to run the centre beyond August 2017."

Bury St Edmunds' rugby players, external entertain Barnes at the Haberden this weekend, knowing a third straight win will edge them closer to safety in National League Two.
Director of Rugby Gavin Hogg (pictured), who is likely to field a couple of new signings tomorrow, believes the home supporters can play their part .
"We were 20 points down on Chinnor recently and came back to win after we were roared on," Hogg said. "The crowd can make a massive difference, especially at this stage of the season."

The commander of the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath says they're seeing about one laser beam incident a month, especially when they're night flying.
Colonel Robert Novotny was speaking after it was revealed that a pilot was momentarily disorientated after a laser was pointed at his plane while he was coming in to land on Wednesday night.
Col Novotny said lasers can cause permanent eye damage almost immediately: "A pilot needs their eye sight to land the airplane and if it happens in a critical phase of flight the results could be catastrophic."
Colchester United are understood to be the latest club showing interest, external in Blues youngster Kyle Hammond.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy hopes an increase in season ticket prices, external for the third successive year does not keep some supporters away from Portman Road.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow's match with Nottingham Forest, McCarthy expressed his gratitude for the backing he has received from Blues fans since arriving at the club in November 2012.
"All I can do is try to make it worthwhile for them to come and watch. I will continue to do that as will the players, and let's hope they take up their seats."

Ipswich Town defender Christophe Berra has warned his teammates to "beware of the wounded animal" ahead of Nottingham Forest's visit to Portman Road tomorrow.
The Reds are in a poor run of form having lost their last three matches but Berra says they are more than capable of turning in a good display.
"Before this run they were 12 league games unbeaten," said the Scot. "They have a strong squad and on paper there is not much between us at all."

A Suffolk holiday park is dealing with an outbreak of Norovirus, also known as the winter vomiting bug, external.
Managers at Gunton Hall Coastal Village, external near Lowestoft say about 20 guests and 2 staff have been taken sick since yesterday and treated by a local GP.
The holiday park is still open for business.

A spokeswoman for the US Air Force says the use of lasers poses a "huge threat" and could have "disastrous consequences".
The comments came after it was confirmed the crew of a fighter jet were disorientated by a laser beam being shone at them. The spokeswoman at Lakenheath said it's not the first incident of its kind at the base, which is home to more than 70 US fighter aircraft.
She added: "An incident like this could cause a plane to crash with casualties on the ground not just of the aircrew but also members of the public."

A petition has been launched, external to save the North Suffolk Skills Academy, external in Halesworth, which is due to shut next year after directors said falling enrolment numbers left it "financially unviable".
Malcolm Briggs, from Leiston, is one of those opposed to the closure. His granddaughter goes there and he questions what's gone wrong.
"Someone has got to say why aren't these numbers coming forward," he said. We're awaiting a statement from Bungay High School, external, which runs the academy.
