    Ahead of Rotherham's visit to Ipswich tomorrow, Millers manager Neil Warnock has said one of his regrets in football is missing out on a chance to manage the Blues.

    "I had an opportunity once and thought I would get the chance but then they went for Roy Keane so I was disappointed," Warnock said. 

    "It's a really good club and a good area and Mick McCarthy has done a fabulous job without spending a fortune."

    Community and heritage projects at a derelict Woodbridge boatyard will be of "international importance", according to a local town councillor.

    FW Properties is spending £10m turning the Whisstocks site into apartments, commercial premises and buildings for the Woodbridge Riverside Trust, where it will build a replica Anglo-Saxon ship.

    Councillor Kay Yule said: "They've already got tie-ups with the National Trust and it's really exciting, not just for Woodbridge but the whole district."

    The Woodbridge Riverside Trust, external is welcoming the start of work on the £10m redevelopment of a boatyard that has been derelict since 1990.

    The developer is creating new apartments and commercial premises, but also providing a boatshed for heritage projects, such as the building of a replica Anglo-Saxon vessel.

    Malcolm Hodd, one of the trustees, said: "Having negotiated for four years for our own community Longshed and use of the existing public space and waterfront, we now look forward to developing our projects."

    They were teammates nearly 40 years ago at Barnsley, and Mick McCarthy (back row, left) and Neil Warnock (front row, second left) have locked horns as managers on numerous occasions.

    Tomorrow the pair will go head-to-head once again at Portman Road as Warnock brings his relegation-battling Rotherham team to Suffolk. 

    "Their form has been good under Neil and he's got them scrapping," McCarthy said. "We could still go up and they want to stay up, so both teams have plenty to fight for."

    Ipswich Town loanee Liam Feeney says his Bolton teammate and good friend Liam Trotter (pictured) helped convince him about moving to Suffolk.

    Trotter was an FA Youth Cup winner with the Blues and made 26 appearances for the first team between 2006 and 2010. 

    "I picked his brains on the drive down here," Feeney said. "He filled me in about all the good things about the Town and told me how nice it is down here."

    The Whisstocks Boatyard site has been derelict since 1990.

    Ipswich Town supporters will be hoping that new loan signing Liam Feeney can bring some creativity into the team between now and the end of the season.

    Despite still being in the play-off picture, the Blues' performances have been criticised at times in recent weeks, with many fans bemoaning a direct and long-ball approach. 

    "My game is about getting the ball and running at people," Feeney said. "I'll be looking to be creative and get shots off and provide assists."

    The £10m redevelopment of a derelict boatyard is beginning on the River Deben in Woodbridge.

    FW Properties, external is behind the scheme at the the former Whisstocks site, which will feature apartments, townhouses, restaurants and shops and community facilities for a museum and community boathouse.

    A dog which had to have an hour-long operation to cut open his stomach to remove a large ball of glue is back home.

    Marley, a seven-month-old cocker spaniel from Hitcham near Stowmarket, ate a tube of expanding adhesive which congealed with his food into a 6ins (15cm) diameter ball.

    A spokeswoman for Dick White Referrals, external vets in Cambridgeshire said he had "regained his full appetite - he just needs to be a little more discerning about his snacks".
