BBC Radio SuffolkSuffolk Police says a car travelling at 154mph on a section of the A11 is believed to be the highest speed it's recorded on the county's roads.
Police stopped the Seat Leon near Elveden on Monday night. A male driver in his 20s will be summoned to court.
A spokesman said: "It is believed that this is the highest speed of a vehicle on the road that has been recorded by Suffolk Police."

BBC Look EastThe destruction of 463 firearms found hidden away in a Suffolk village has got under way at police headquarters in Martlesham.

Pistols, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, a rocket launcher, grenades and 200,000 rounds of ammunition were found at the home of former parish council chairman James Arnold in Wyverstone in 2014.
It was the biggest haul of weapons ever found in the UK. Mr Arnold was charged, but died of cancer while on remand.
Anthony Buckland, from Norfolk, was jailed for six years for his part in supplying some of the weapons.

The force says motorists caught filming while driving are likely to receive a summons in the post.

The Duke of Cambridge has attempted to shrug off criticism of his commitment to his royal duties.
Prince William's commitment has been questioned in some quarters in recent months, with headlines in some newspapers referring to him as "work-shy William".
But speaking to the BBC before the Queen's 90th birthday, he said he took royal duty "very seriously" and emphasised the importance of his role as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot and the time he spent with his family.

BBC Local LiveSuffolk Police says a lorry driver has been airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries after the crash on the A14 this afternoon.
It happened on the eastbound carriageway near Bury St Edmunds and involved three cars and two lorries.
The westbound carriageway was closed to allow the air ambulance to land. The eastbound carriageway is expected to be closed for some time, beyond rush hour.

One of the major figures responsible for bringing about a devolution deal for East Anglia says the idea is being rushed through, making it a hard-sell to both councillors and the public alike, and could be "heading for the rocks".
In an article for Municipal Journal, external, Norfolk County Council leader George Nobbs stressed that although he was an "enthusiastic proponent of regional devolution", the deal was in danger.
Mr Nobbs writes: "Any objections we have raised have been brushed aside (by Whitehall officials) in the rush, firstly to meet the timetable of a budget announcement and now to meet the aim of a mayoral election in 2017."
Today the National Audit Office , externalsaid the benefits of the 10 devolution deals for the UK needed more explanation.

BBC Look EastA steam engine that was thought to have been scrapped but was actually hiding away in the countryside for decades is being moved to a new home today.
The shunting engine, built in the 1920s, was owned by a private collector and restored over many years in Suffolk and Hertfordshire. After he died, his wife contacted the Nene Valley Railway, external in Peterborough which agreed to put it in its museum.

BBC Local LiveThe government is being warned that devolution schemes, including the one for East Anglia, still need explaining to the public.
A National Audit Office, external report says new arrangements for Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire might be more complicated than in urban areas such as Manchester and there could be issues with accountability.
It says devolution deals "offer opportunities to stimulate economic growth and reform public services" but adds "...arrangements are untested and government could do more to provide confidence that these deals will achieve the benefits intended".

BBC Local LiveSuffolk Police has told us that the air ambulance is heading to the "multi-vehicle" crash on the A14 at Bury St Edmunds.
People are trapped and there is apparently diesel in the carriageway. The advice is to avoid the area if possible, as parts of the road are closed and delays are inevitable.

The Trawler Boys beat Worcester City 2-1 at Crown Meadow last night, while relegation rivals Brackley Town and AFC Telford Utd drew 0-0.
Danny Crow and Connor Deeks scored for the North Suffolk side, with assistant manager Dale Brooks saying Deeks had not been due to play.
