    Workers at the Cornhill Post Office in Bury St Edmunds are on strike today.

    It's over plans to close the branch and move it into the WH Smith store next door.

    Seven members of the Communication Workers Union are taking action over the proposals.

    A pedestrian has suffered what are thought to be serious head injuries after a hit and run in Bungay in the early hours of this morning. 

    Police were called to the collision on Bridge Street at about 01:40.

    The man was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop.
