  1. Post office workers in Bury St Edmunds go on strike

    Workers at the Cornhill Post Office in Bury St Edmunds are on strike today.

    It's over plans to close the branch and move it into the WH Smith store next door.

    Seven members of the Communication Workers Union are taking action over the proposals.

  4. Hit-and-run in Bungay investigated

    A pedestrian has suffered what are thought to be serious head injuries after a hit and run in Bungay in the early hours of this morning. 

    Police were called to the collision on Bridge Street at about 01:40.

    The man was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop.

    Mostly dry, although turning cloudier through the evening, with the odd spot of rain possible. Some clearer spells developing later in the night, allowing it turn much colder than recent nights, especially in rural spots. Lows of 4C (39F).
