Ipswich Town, external boss Mick McCarthy felt his side warranted more than a point from Saturday's entertaining 2-2 draw against high-flying Reading at Portman Road.

    Mick McCarthy

He agreed with the majority of fans who went home happy after seeing a much-improved showing from their team after Tuesday's "comprehensive" defeat to Derby.

"I've said to the players lots of times that you can't worry about the result, that'll take care of itself. It's the performance that you've got to worry about and if we play like that every week I'll be happy," he said.

"I can tolerate losing if we play like that although I never want to lose. Some of the performances have been unpalatable and the players don't enjoy playing badly, they want to play well and they have today."

It's a rather grey start for many of us this morning, although there are clearer skies out towards the west where we will have a bit of sunshine.

There's a bit of mist and fog out there as well - that will gradually lift as the cloud moves away.

We may get a spot of rain out towards the east coast but for most places there'll be sunshine throughout the afternoon and a top temperature of 7C (45F).
