    A third person has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Dean Stansby in Ipswich on Wednesday 8 February. 

    The 31-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested in the early hours of this morning and has been taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he will be interviewed by detectives.

    Police were called by the ambulance service around 18:30 last Wednesday to reports that a man had been stabbed in the vicinity of Ancaster Road. 

    He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, but died a short time later. 

    A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death was a stab wound to the abdomen.

    A 39-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of murder. 

    He has now been bailed in connection with this incident until Monday, 22 May, however he has also been recalled to prison for breaching the terms of his licence and has been returned to the prison system.

    A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday morning before being bailed to return to police on 11 April.

    Ed Sheeran has been confirmed as the latest headliner taking to the stage for one of the forthcoming Teenage Cancer Trust, external charity concerts.

    The Framlingham singer-songwriter will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 28 March, just over three weeks after the release of his third album Divide, external.

    He said: "It's an honour to be asked back by the Teenage Cancer Trust for their fundraising week of live gigs. 

    "It's such an important cause and one that I'm extremely proud to be a part of."

    Tickets go on sale on Friday, 17 February.

    The latest act to play Thetford Forest has been announced.

    Clean Bandit, external, formed in Cambridge in 2008, will play the woodland gig on Sunday, 2 July.

    Their debut album, New Eyes, took the electronic music group into the international mainstream, and gave them a Grammy Award for Best Dance recording.

    Last year, their single Rockabye spent nine weeks at the top of the UK charts - the longest reign by a UK artist since Wet Wet Wet in 1994. 

    It's been number one in 30 countries around the world, and received a Brit Award nomination for British Single and British Artist Video.

    The Thetford Forest gigs are part of a series of summer concerts, external organised by the Forestry Commision.

    Elbow are the first act to perform in the woodland setting this year, on Thursday, 29 June. Tickets for Olly Murs the following day have sold out - but there's a waiting list open if you want to sign up.

    Rick Astley takes to the stage on Saturday, 1 July - and Clean Bandit on Sunday.

    An Ipswich teenager arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed pending further police inquiries.

    The 16-year-old boy was taken in for questioning on Friday and has been bailed to by police until April.

    Dean Stansby, 41, died after being stabbed in the abdomen near Ancaster Road, Ipswich, on Wednesday.

    A 39-year-old man who was wanted on recall to prison was bailed until May in connection with the murder inquiry.

    Suffolk Police said the convict had been returned to jail.

    The 20-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield, started his career at Ipswich Town before moving on to Dagenham & Redbridge.

    "We have been following Tev's progress at Bury for some time," said Sudbury boss Jamie Godbold. 

    "We've been impressed with his level of consistency that has rewarded him with over 100 appearances at Ryman level - a great achievement for a 20 year-old. We're looking forward to working with him."

    Ipswich Town, external manager Mick McCarthy couldn't have been happier after seeing his side record their first win at Aston Villa for 23 years on Saturday.

    "If you perform as well as we did last week [against Reading] and can replicate that, which I think we have, then you've more chance of winning games," said McCarthy. 

    "It's great that we got a goal from midfield. McGoldrick was also great because we have a pop at him at times for shooting when perhaps he can find that final pass and he's so cute and good and can see the pass. On this occasion he did and we got the goal."

    Corrie Mckeague's mother has said the £50,000 reward, which was offered in December by an anonymous business couple for information leading to the missing RAF serviceman's return, will be withdrawn on Saturday.

    Writing on the Find Corrie Facebook, external page, Nicola Urquhart says: "At this moment in time, the offer of a reward hasn't brought to the fore the information we had hoped for. 

    "Following discussion, we consider it sensible that the offer of a reward should not remain in place indefinitely. 

    "As such, we have decided to leave a reward in place for one more week. 

    "On 18 February 2017 the offer of a £50,000 reward will be withdrawn. 

    "On behalf of my family, I would wish to publicly thank from the bottom of our hearts the couple concerned."

    Investigations continue into how 360kg (793lbs) of cocaine washed up on the east coast of Norfolk last week.

    A member of the public stumbled across the holdalls packed with the class A drug at Hopton-on-Sea near Gorleston on Thursday. The following day more packages were found at Caister.

    Brandon Lewis, policing minister and MP for Great Yarmouth, said it was likely to be an handover that went wrong out at sea.

    "We believe it was not intended for Norfolk... it looks like something was due to happen out at sea, it failed and washed up in Norfolk."

    Looking at the tides, he believes the haul was intended for somewhere further north.

    He praised the dog walker for reporting the discovery to the police, saying it was great news the drugs are off the streets.

    A bridge where traffic was reduced to a single lane because of structural weaknesses back in December 2013, is closed from today for up to eight weeks, external, to allow strengthening work to be carried out.

    Suffolk County Council has admitted the closure of Westley Bridge, off J42 on the A14, and one of the major routes into Bury St Edmunds, will "impact on motorists", as well as pedestrians and cyclists.

    A diversion is in place, via the A14 to J42, Compiegne Way, and the A1302.

    The inquest is due to begin later into the death of 58-year-old Brendan Lavery, who died when part of the cliff collapsed at Thorpeness last month.

    Hello, and thanks for joining us.

    If you've been out and about already, you'll have noticed that while it may be chilly, it's much lighter, which is great news if like me, you have an early-morning commute.

    An inquest into the death of a man who was killed when part of the cliffs collapsed at Thorpeness Beach last month is due to begin later - and there's bad news for anyone who uses J42 on the A14 to go into Bury St Edmunds, as Westley Bridge is going to be closed, external for up to eight weeks.

    We're also in the fairly unusual position of being able to look back at a win for Ipswich Town over the weekend. Fingers crossed the Blues have turned the corner.

    We'll bring you more details on those stories, and others, after the day's weather prospects from Kate Kinsella, which are up next.
