  18. 'Get it wrong and I'm a chump,' says Ipswich bosspublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 29 September 2017

    Graeme Mac
    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy says his team selection for tomorrow's fixture with Bristol City is not set in stone, despite Tuesday's impressive win at home to Sunderland.

    Mick McCarthy

The Blues' best attacking performance of the season helped them to a 5-2 win under the lights at Portman Road, but there are also tired legs to consider, given that this could be some players' third Championship match in eight days.

"That's the dilemma isn't it," McCarthy said at today's pre-match press conference. "Change the team and if it doesn't work then I'll look like a chump.

"Or I could leave the team as it is, and if that doesn't work everyone will ask why I didn't put fresh legs in!

"What's nice is that the lads who are in the team are playing well while the others are busting a gut to get involved. As we've seen, when the subs have been coming on, they've all been contributing as well."

  19. Rare 'Edmund Jewel' goes on display at museumpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 29 September 2017

An extremely rare piece of jewellery that could have links to St Edmund is going on display at Moyse's Hall museum.

The ornate gold "Edmund Jewel" was found by a metal detector in a field in Drinkstone four years ago.

It's believed to be an aestal - a ninth century pointer used by people in high status for reading.

Heritage officer at the Bury St Edmunds museum, Alex McWhirter, says the land where the Edmund Jewel was found would have been part of the landholdings of the abbey.

King Edmund, from whom the town takes its name, was martyred in 869AD, and it's not known if the aestal was made before or after his death.

"The rarity of the Jewel, coupled with its purpose, means it is likely that if it did not belong to Edmund himself, it would have been made and used by someone in high status in the Church."

Aestals are believed to be extremely rare - it's thought there are less than 10 in Europe.

The Jewel will go on display at Moyse's Hall this weekend as part of the "Lost Property" exhibition, before moving into the permanent displays.
